Every one says they go under ground. But how do we know that. MAybe they come from outer space and just trturn to this planet to bread. Kind of like salmon going up river??

 

This thread has turned into Cicada Watch 2004!

 

I no longer fear cicadas. I even dug one up in my garden, and put it back when I was done planting.

Centipedes, however, are still evil. EVIL.

 

how do you know it was a cicada. may be it was just a grub. The cicadas would be returningto home world by now.

 

Only the Brood X cicadas are going back to the home world. We still have our regular cicadas that haven't hatched yet.

And it was way too big to be a grub.

 

May be it was a listening device.

 

Enough bug talk. So has anybody read Dan's SW Fan fic story. Interesting stuff and it seems like its part of a longer story. Was the action scenes all in simulators? --Billy

 

I did and i even tryed asking questions about it at the meeting buttt......

It was cool and i would like to read the rest as he gets it done. THe simulator idea was cool. It gives the characters a way to match up with out geting turned to toast

Thank you. Yes it will be part of a bigger story, but right now that is all that is done. I plan to write more, but I haven't been able to get any more done since last meeting.

I would be happy to help with some out line ideas. I could send it to you directly if you dont want every one else to see. OR Why not start a new post. Give an idea of where you thought it was going and then every one could throw out ideas.

My bike tour went reasonably well. The weather was great. We rode 62 miles from Riverhead to Orient Point and back again raising money for the American Diabetes Association.
I suffered the last 10 miles, I was so tired because I havent rode the bike much this season. --Billy

 

Well, as I predicted... I was sick on Sunday. And have been ever since. As a result, Billy is now forbidden to ride in that particular bike tour ever again.
