I'm sure we've all got a few.

Mine is - what was it that kicked R2-D2 back into life? it seemed to come out of nowhere, and then he had the rest of the map. Was there some sort of programmed circumstances that had to be completed for R2 to give up the info?

 

Yeah, that's a good one. I'm not sure. Maybe? Was it that Rey had used the saber or something?

 

I'm guessing it was the saber. Or perhaps BB-8 arriving with the rest of the map.

 

My mrs asked me last night, and i thought maybe he'd been tuned to sense the force in someone, so he would know that luke needed to be found.

My question: The old man at the beginning who knew Kylo, did we find out anything about him? He's been at the front of my mind since i saw it

 

Good question. I think there's gonna be tons of expanded universe stories. It makes sense too. There's a lot of mystery and backstory that already shows a wealth of information. Kylo's betrayal and fall to the darkside, the fall of the jedi order and Luke's disappereance, the rise of the First Order, Snoke, the old man, etc.

 

I have a clarification - was Kylo blinded by Rey, or just slashed across the face?

 

slashed across the face - not blinded (I was able to see his eyes more clearly this second time around). He did sustain a very nasty burn to his left shoulder - you could see the cloth glowing for ages.

 

From the opening crawl we know:
1. He is a trusted ally of Princess Leia

From his interaction with Kylo, we find out:
1. He knew that Kylo was Ben Solo and seemed to have known the Solo/Skywalker family
2. He has aged.

Oh. and he is now dead.

I think that's it.

Vader's helmet.
First it's all in one (burnt and warped) piece.
Next time when Kylo puts his helmet down it's all just ash.
Was there an edited cut scene maybe or did I miss something?

 

I interpreted that to be another plinth containing the ashes of Vader.

 

First scene with Vader's mask was on the Star Destroyer while the scene with Rey was on the Starkiller Base, no?

 

I thought that for a moment but then they say Hosnian system. The way that was done was one of the MANY great things about TFA

 

Did I blink and miss Constable Zuvio?

And there was no Maz Kanata handing the lightsabre to Leia? I know some of the teaser/trailer scenes were just ever so slightly different takes or showed the lead-in shot a little differently (e.g. Finn popping up after the crash, the immediate second after the "Chewie we're home" dialogue, Kylo in the forest snapping his arm out and igniting his saber) but that one seemed to be important...

Finn gets burnt by the crossguard but how does he get knocked out again?

 

Yeah I love how a few weeks out from release we get official picks of Zuvio and his crew and then stuff all in the movie. Maybe his action-figure wasn't selling so they leaked his pic early!

 

Yeah, no Zuvio, no Maz at the Resistance Base, no Sledgehammer, no array, etc...

Another quickie, after the Poe/Finn crash landing when Finn runs to the main TIE wreckage to find Poe, and it kind of disintegrates and then gets "sucked into" the sand. What was all that about? Was it just an optical illusion to my eyes and it didn't get sucked into the sand? For a second I honestly thought a creature was going to rear up Tremors/Dune style ...but, nothing.

 

Rey mentioned to BB8 earlier on that he should avoid some part of the desert because he'd sink in the sands. I think this area was the sinking sand.

I heard "master". But there's a bit of disagreement on reddit.
