    Title: Quiet Night, Never-ending Nightmare
    Author: LittleMissNightsaber
    Genre: Angst, Tenel Ka?s P.O.V
Summary: During Jacen?s kidnapping of Allana, Tenel Ka remembers Jacen and wishes it was all a dream?.
    Disclaimer: This is not mine.

Midnight at the Fountain Palace as the esteemed Queen Mother Tenel Ka Djo sauntered down the grand hall. Silhouettes of droids loomed in the darkness. Hapans couldn?t see in the dark, but she could, with a stretch of her senses and a grip on her lightsaber.
Jacen had been someone dear to her, but his descent to the dark had been like knife that cut through their relationship. Allana was the only thing left of him, and sometimes Tenel Ka couldn?t even look at her daughter without feeling Jacen?s Force signature. Allana had named a stuffed tauntaun after him whom she talked to when she was lonely.
She checked on Allana again, and found her building a bantha with her? Wait, Allana had been asleep an instant earlier, how could?
She swiftly pushed the alarm and the loud blare that both woke the whole palace and alert the guards.
?There?s a Force-user here and he?s kidnapping Allana!? She shouted as she ran through the long twisty halls, with her lightsaber lit. She tried to hone on Allana?s small untrained presence, but it was being concealed by a darkness that she found to familiar. Jacen! She thought. Her daughter would not drown with him in the dark side. She would not succumb to it. Tenel Ka would not allow it.
As she and the guards neared the hangar where Jacen had led them, Tahiri Veila?s StealthX powered up with a sound of a stampede of banthas.
?Don?t blast it, he has the Chume?da with him,? a captain informed her men. Then a shadowbomb shot out of the StealthX and hit the ground with a thump! And then the explosion.
The blast pushed Tenel Ka toward a pillar. She tried to keep herself from hitting it, but the fear and misery clouded her mind. The pain added to the emotions was too much. Tenel Ka blacked out. She wanted this to be a dream and Jacen was here, but not as the sickening tyrant he was now. She wanted Allana in her arms. She wanted too much. Reality was both vile and distressing she thought as strong arm picked her up like a child. Sometimes she imagined Jacen with her and Allana. But everyday now she was constantly reminded that Jacen was no more.
It was a quiet night and a never-ending nightmare.

    What do you think?
