When Did Wedge Retire?

 

Shortly after Vision of the Future, along with most of the veteran Rogues.

 

As well as Ackbar, I believe.

 

All the cool people retire.

Asses, or butts rather, like Borsk Fey'lya(sp?) never seem to retire. maybe someday...

After DE, Wedge returned to Coruscant and helped to clean it up, but that period didn't last too long.

Shortly after the peace was negotiated between the Republic and the Empire, Wedge retired. He can be seen as a civilian in the Union comics. He was resumed active duty in DT.

Fine. You really want to know? Borsk sacrifices his life when the Vong invade Coruscant.

Throughout the book, we are made to hate Borsk Fey'lya. He is as much of an ass as he was in the other books. However, his standdown with Nom Anor in the senate boosted his respect, both by the NR members and by the readers.

Later, when Borsk fails to keep the Vong off Coruscant, he wants to become a martyr, rather than the Bothan who lost Coruscant. He attuned a bomb in his office with his heartbeat, then waited for the Vong to arrive. They invaders immediately poisoned him, and the bomb exploded, destroying the majority of the Imperial palace, and perhaps about 25000 Vong with it.

A noble sacrifice for a previously ignoble Bothan.

You know, if it is so difficult to get that book in Spain, you could try buying it online through Amazon or Ebay or something.

It means the postee wants credit for the post, but that the thread is not worth their time to write something.
