Phx R.I.P. Bennigans ?

Mick and I tried to go out to the mesa one on alma school/southern and found it was closed. Okay....fine. We scoot over to AZ Mills and find a note on the door saying that the Landlord (AZ Mills) has closed these premesis, any entry is illegal, blah blah blah.

 

Interesting. I used to be a big fan of Bennegans when I lived in Delaware. The one I went to here (by the Metro Mall) was always a little... 'yucky'. I wonder if that had anything to do with it. I'll miss the Brocolli Bites appetizer.

 

The bennigans web page shows that the only one in arizona at this time is in tucson... the phone # is 520-622-6611 - wonder if they just closed the phoenix locations??

 

It didn't look like a planned closing though, all the decorations were still in the two places and the lights on outside. It looked very similar to when AZ Mills chained the doors to IMAX for not paying the rent.

 

Ah yes, but do you remember your lovely lunch time layoff?? These things happen y'know...

 

We ran into the same thing at that Bennigans --I was having a carving for the "Artery Clogger" --the Fried Cheese Cheeseburger, but they were closed.


Bummer, 'cause the food was pretty good.

they kicked me out of the one by metro center for waering a hat and printed t-shirt

 

How'd that happen ? They've been really lax at all the ones I've gone to.

 

The hat and shirt were only an excuse......

 

Yeah.. they could sense the "real" me..
oh well..
i dunno.. maybe its just the area, since its gettin all run down and stuff.
it was avout 7 years ago.. so who knows
