Saga R U kidding Me? Bail Organa meets Han Solo

Just a little viggie for fun. I was challenged somewhere else and decided to post here too. I hope you enjoy my little attempt at humor.

Everything in Ep.IV happened except the destruction of Alderaan. So, here goes.


Are You Kidding Me?


Bail Organa sat stoically across the table from the dark haired man that his young daughter, Leia, had felt worthy enough to share their royal table. He cocked an eyebrow and studied the man's weathered face. He was obviously older than Leia. Five years? Maybe a dozen? He wasn't sure but he didn't like the age difference at all. Han Solo was obviously a very experienced man.

He forced a smile. Han Solo smiled back at him smugly.

"I am appreciative 'er, Mr. Solo"

"Captain Solo." Han interjected rudely. He didn't want anyone to forget that he was a captain. He did, after all, own his own freighter. Maybe it was just a broken down piece of junk to the great Viceroy Organa but it was his. His castle.

Bail cleared his throat, trying to control his temper, and began again.

"As I was saying, I am appreciative, Captain Solo, for your assistance in rescuing my daughter and of your great contribution in the Battle of Yavin."

"Think nothing of it, Bail. I was well paid." He wiggled his eyebrows at the Viceroy and smiled devilishly at Leia. Bail's eyes widened largely and he glared at his daughter. Had she? Were they? He shook his head trying to get the image of the horrible man before him and his daughter out of his head. Briefly, the thought crossed his mind that if he was Leia's real father he would force choke Han Solo right then and there.

"Han was hired by Obi Wan Kenobi to fly the Millennium Falcon to Alderaan, Father. He received 17 thousand credits for the passage alone. And then, of course, his reward money. Quite the business man, don't you think?"

"Of course."
Bail took a sip from his soup and looked around the room. The servants that surrounded the table looked as bewildered as he felt. No one had ever shown the Viceroy such disrespect in his own home.

"So you're a mercenary."

"I guess you could say that, Bail. I'm always lookin for the fastest way to make a credit."

Bail's eyes widened again. So that was it. He was with his daughter for her money. Well, he had no intention of letting that happen. He started to speak but was cut off as Leia noisily dropped her utensils on the floor.

"That's okay, sweetheart." Solo jumped gallantly to Leia's side, knocking one of the servants out of the way as he did. He bent down to retrieve her utensils from the floor. Two of the servant girls couldn't help but notice how well Han Solo's derriere looked as he bent down to complete his task. They looked at each other and smiled knowingly.

Han plunked Leia's dirty spoon in her soup and smiled at her lopsidedly.

"That is soiled, Captain Solo." Bail Organa's voice was full of disdain and shock.

"Ten second rule, Bail, my man. Little dirt never hurt anybody. Not even royalty."

Leia smiled at him sweetly as he took his seat.

"Han used to smuggle spice, Father. Before he decided to Join the rebellion."

"Let's not get in to that again, your worshipfulness." Han's voice was stern." Not until you give me the credits to pay off Jabba the Hutt."

"A Hutt?!?..Leia"

"But,Han, darling. I told you that I would give you the credits as soon as you make a commitment."

Han laughed.

"And I told you, gimme the credits and I'll commit to anything you ask, your highnessness."

"Absolutely not." Bail Organa was suddenly on his feet, fury written on his face. "My daughter will not be giving you any credits.Corporal, escort Captain Solo outside the castle. Leia, you will not have this..this..man here again."

"Yes father." Leia said sheepishly. " I will escort him out, Father. He is, after all, my guest."

Leia and Han left the room. Both broke into uncontrolled laughter as they walked. At the door, Leia bid her friend good bye.

"Now can you tell me why we did that?" Han asked seriously when they were safely outside

 

I can just see the distinguished Bail and the cocky Han sitting across a table from each other. Instant animosity!

"Think nothing of it, Bail. I was well paid." He wiggled his eyebrows at the Viceroy and smiled devilishly at Leia. Bail's eyes widened largely and he glared at his daughter. Had she? Were they? He shook his head trying to get the image of the horrible man before him and his daughter out of his head. Briefly, the thought crossed his mind that if he was Leia's real father he
would force choke Han Solo right then and there.

Priceless! And yes, I think he would!

Hilarious You can just imagine the scene there.

 

"Well, actually Father..."

See, when you end a story like that, it makes me want a sequel! PLEASE!

 

A sequel would be good. Something like "Meet the Boyfriend". Han and Leia really made Bail squirm with their act.

 

I would love to see a sequel with Bail Organa at Han's and Leia's marriage years later. Imagine how he would feels .

"Only if Leia married this Prince Isolder..."

Ahhh.... Bail! You will like Han once you get to know him! (at least you'd better.... he's here for the long haul...)

"Well," Leia thought about her father's furious eyes and smiled. "Have fun storming the castle, hotshot."

LOL!
