Tucson R2-D2 Appears on UofA Campus!

A group of enterprising students have turned the Steward Observatory dome into R2D2.

I would highly advise you guys to go check it out. Pictures coming soon.

I of course 'cannot' claim responsibility, for obvious reasons.

now that is kewl, I will have to check that out, but after 4pm, I'm supposed to be sleeping right now, but I keep wanting to check my messages.

 

will it still be that way tomorrow, I have managed to come down with a migraine and was instructed to take to bed or miss work tonight, or take to bed and still miss work, if the migraine does not let up. I don't want to miss R2! Please get photos. Not even I can type on a computer with a migraine in full swing.

Unfortunetly the droid is no longer up for 2 reasons...

1) Duct tape and 90 degree temperatures dont mix.

2) UofA administration decided it was an act of 'criminal vandalism' and threatened to take action against some of our proffessors if it was not removed.

Was taken down fully at around 12:30.

We also made the 6 oclock, channel 4 news!

Unfortunetly the news crews only got photos after it had started to fall down.

I just wish we had enough money to have done the whole building.
