ST R2-D2, C3PO, BB-8 in Episode VIII

Heard this morning original R2-D2 sold for 3 million at auction!!!

 

Chewie needs the money for Falcon spare parts...

 

This makes me want a C-3PO and R2D2 Anthology movie at some point.

 

So the question of whether Luke leaves Ahch-To is a mystery.
But R2? Did he stick with Luke? Does he leave him behind?
Will there be tears?

 

No tears. Some oil maybe.

 

They both look a lot better than they did in TFA imo. Look more like their OT counterparts.

 

Are they the same models/props used from TFA? Cause i know in the original 6 films, they rebuild them alot. Maybe every film.?

 

3PO looks shiner (and skinnier?). R2 might be the same though.

 

I think I just solved the riddle on what BB stands for in the BB units:

BB stands for:
Bathrobe Baddie !

They are obviously spies controlled by Snoke!

...I need to tell this Mike Zeroh.....

In all seriousness, when I first saw the name "BB-8," I immediately thought of it as "Ball-Bot 8."

 

Can confirm..... R2 is the same. Threepio is an all new suit, of course, and they returned to vacuum metalizing, as the paint they used is TFA looked too hazy.

 

Anybody think 3P0 will be killed off in TLJ?

Highly unlikely. If anything, he may lose more limbs and get them replaced with different colors to look like Skittles.

 

He's the only character and actor to appear in all the films.

He'll be in Episode IX. But with Leia gone, how will they utilize him.

Then again, as the only orginal actors still participating left. I do look forward to the Luke-Threepio reunion.

 

All I know is that my three year old loves all three droids. If either of them get killed, I am walking out of the theatre with a heartbroken daughter and a huge ToysRUs bill.

 

C3PO and R2D2 will die on the same ship as Leia.

 

Luke and Chewie will be on that ship too and that ship will be the Millennium Falcon!

 

No, I meant the "leak" about rewrites which stated that Leia helps the others (Finn, Rose, etc) to leave the ship by sacrificing herself.
Although the "leak" was most likely a fake - in case it is true it would be an opportunity to get rid of R2 and C3PO as well while having the most tragic and shocking event in SW history ever.

Funnily, I read the leak about two weeks before the trailer and it described the scene with Kylo having the finger on the trigger to blast Leias ship. It stated as well that Kylo did not shoot (because he was weak again) and that some other FO ship destroyed Leias ship finally.
In the original version before the rewrites, they said, that Kylo did not shoot and the ship of Leia was able to escape. After Carries death they modified this scene, so Leia dies.

I am really sorry that I cannot remember where I read that. I think it was an imgur pic. It sounded so poor that I thought it was a fake.

 

I want R2-D2 and C3-PO to go off with the heroes like in the Original Trilogy instead of just staying in the Resistance base.

 

I don't think they'll ever kill off R2 as he is supposedly telling the story to the Whills and C3-PO dying is very unlikely. If C3-PO ever died it would break my heart to see R2's reaction.

 

Or a new droid. I just want droid companions, it’s a lot of fun. Thats something Rogue One got right.

 

We already have a new droid I'm this trilogy I'm BB-8. R2-D2 is my favourite Star Wars character and C3-PO is also one of my favourites I want their role in the Last Jedi to be bigger than the Force Awakens.
