Hey! I've thought of something to discuss.

What's everyones favorite R2 scene?

Since we're all fans of his, we all must have one.

I like the whole scene at the end of ESB, when he ignores 3PO (the whiner) and turns on the hyperdrive. He saves every one of the main characters at that moment. Think about it, Luke would get captured by Vader, Han would forever be a decoration on Jabba's wall, Leia, Lando and Chewie would probably be tortured to death, and 3PO would be disintegrated for complaining too much.

R2's finest moment. (beams with pride)

 

My absolute favorite scene? Hmm. I'd have to say the scene in Ep.1 where Artoo goes out and saves the shields, then gets commended by Amidala.

Captain Panaka walks up, and tells her Artoo's number, and its his "official" introduction!

 

Off the top of my head I think the fight with Yoda for the space-twix. But there must be something better. Anything where he gives a knowing look or a small sarcastic bleep really...
Ah. yes. I've got it. My favourite Artoo scene is his argument with Luke on the way to Dagobah in ESB. I think that's great.

Artoo utters a soft, carefully phrased stream of whistles.
LUKE That's alright. I'd like to keep it on manual control for a while.
Defeated whimper.

I think Artoo was trying to pull a fast one on Luke and fly away from Dagobah to meet up with the others!

The R2 vs. Yoda battle is always pretty funny.

 

Oh, the scene on Dagobah where Yoda and Artoo are fighting over the flashlight! Gotta be my absolute favorite scene.

Gotta wonder what Artoo's saying when Yoda starts smacking him with the gimer stick.
