I am currently helping a re-enacting group with a project to build a 1:1 scale aircraft.
What is the organization and what is the name of the aircraft?

Since you do World War II things, is the aircraft a P-51 Mustang or a P-47 Thunderbolt?

Ok. It's obvious that you need a few hints:
For the organization, just click on the link and investigate.
For the aircraft (here comes a Piett history lesson):
This was one of the very few rocket-powered aircraft actually used in combat. This particular aircraft was Produced late-war by the Messersmitt company to intercept allied bombers at high altitudes. It is mostly known for being more dangerous to its pilots than the enemy because it was fueled by two substances that explode on contact, destroying the craft if it is shot or crashes.
If you really want to do some research, you can find some of the few remaining origonals in the Eighth Air Force Museum and the Royal Air Force Museum in Cosford. You can find original documents on this aircraft in the records of the Imperial War Museum.

    Hope that helps,
    -Piett

Close enough, sence SOAR is listed on the website.
It was actually the Luftwaffe Aircrew Reenactors Association. The aircraft, to be technical, was the Me-163-B1-a "Komet"

    Your turn Mike!

Steve, I thought about it but then I realized I wouldn't want to show you up in your own career. :p

    Nope, Phelps, not that either.

It's one of two fields that a person can really be a nerd about.

Dude, there are way more than two fields that a person can be a nerd about ... look at the lot of us! We have history nerds, computer nerds, math nerds, beer nerds, book nerds, rock nerds, volcano nerds, space nerds, sports nerds, random trivia nerds, nerd nerds ...... not to mention the fact that we are all partially star wars nerds (in varying degrees)!
