I.E., CA Rancho Cucamonga Public Library Star Wars Day 2011!!!!

Ok now that it's officially 2011 I guess it's time to start gearing up again for the 4th annual Star Wars day extravaganza at the Paul A Biane library in Rancho Cucamonga...Star Wars day 2011...Saturday May 28th 1-4 at the usual hot spot. This is going to be totally awesome for sure! I hear our first meeting for this calling! Looking very much forward to doing whatever we can on our part to help out and participate with this event for sure!

 

Slowly but surely we are getting there...happy to report randy Martinez and Denise Vasquez will be returning to SWD for the third year running!

drum roll please....Im happy to announce that it is now "official" the Jar-Jar dunk tank will be returning this year!!!!...begin practicing now!

I am excited for this years Star Wars Day. Any chance Kyle Newman will be back again? Also, I think we need more shade. It gets so hot on the courtyard with all the people

 

Thats great news on the tank! That was a hit for sure last year! As far as shade, I think we'll be okay with how we'll be positioned and all.

 

Ok a general round-up for SWD 2011. This year we will bring back the old favorites such as Vader storytime, the Falcon, and the Jar-Jar dunk tank (desperately seeking folks brave enough to play Jar-Jar, if you or anyone you know might be up for it let me know). Some new elements we will be adding are Obi-Shawn leading a lightsaber demonstration, dancing with the star wars stars, and an R2-D2 panel/exhibit. Lots of people already asking which feels real good. I will also see about lining up one or two other things while Im at the Anaheim con this week and will keep everyone posted. May the force be with us!!!

 

Hi, Darth Al, need to know what time to set up the Falcon. Same time as last year? We are so excited about this. It will be a fun day.

 

I'm going to be meeting with Allen this weekend at the Con to get all details and will post everything on set up, times, etc. on Monday for everyone

Thanks for posting the pics! We are heading into fifth gear in getting things set up...this year is looking like another big one. Some of the new things we will be adding this year include an R2-D2 demonstration, the mighty Jedi Elvis, dancing with the star wars stars, the incredible obi-shawn's lightsaber demonstration, a huge chalk mural, speakers from NASA alongside old favorites such as the Vader storytime, the Falcon and H-Wing and the Jar-Jar dunk tank...cant wait to see you all there!!!

 

We can't wait either. Wait till you see the new Falcon paint job. She will be making her debut at the library.

I am very excited about SWD 2011. This will be my second year participating as a guest artist, thanks to Darth Al. If you see a fellow drawing with chalk in the courtyard, that will be me. It is going to be much fun.

 

Oh yeah...cant wait to see the chalk mural extravaganza!

 

Sad I will miss this as I will be in Vegas for family reunion. Hope everyone has a awesome time.
