Rancor?

Has anyone ever made a Rancor for 3dmax?
If so were can it be found?(or purchased)

 

i know there is no point in sayin this, but i know someone will... u cant purchase SW related models (at least legally)

and this sounds neat to me. i would love to see one made good luck findin one

 

Hey djr33 I know this has nothing to do with this thread but did you ever see my film? I was reading it and noticed that you never finished posting your comments!

Anyways the only thing I've seen of the Rancor is this WIP
I wish someone would finish it! It's be sooo cool.

on topic... thats a pretty cool model... would need some work, but i like what i see....

I shall like to try in my spare time but I don't have good refs like front and right pics...

 

Yeah I've also noticed that there alot of WIPs that look done...why aren't they available?

I have not heard from JC in awhile. I'll write him now about it. Believe it or not the RANCOR was one of the biggest requests in the old sites survey. I don't know why? I don't know what people plan to do with it. ALSO JC may have access to some refs if he doesn't finish it or want to turn over what he's got. I imagine he's forgotton all about it and can't finish it.

 

Aww zoo if you can get that model available, that'll be great...I wanna use a Rancor in my next film.

best thing to do is convert the lucasarts game model to 3ds, that would be the best way to get what you are wanting...

We were gonna put him in my film, but he said it was too outdated to be of much use and it was on a cd somewhere in his home, and he would have to go thru all kinds of cds to find it.

I would try the game route, I'll ask him next week for you when I see him...

 

Yeah if you can ask him that'll be great...now how do I get a model from a Lucas game????what do I k=need and stuff?

I got JC's old model. Problem is it's not finished, it's really old from 2000, and somebody would probably rather start from scratch b/c of the ancient modelling method. But I'll email it to Bobabert and see what he says.

it is missing the hands and feet

 

I've got it
I've convert and weld it in poly edit
if someone have good refs it'll be great for the hands and feet
I think I'll add texture and some bones if someone want to play with it lol!!
It's good trainning for me(that's what I learns at school)

That'll be great bobabert...I wish I could play with it, but my knowledge with max is limited...maybe I can attach T-rex hands and feet?LOL

But really I know alot people would love to finish that...

no I just have the mesh

 

I'm sure the texture is not hard to come by how bout the hands and feet?

Email me if you want refs. from the BTM cd-rom... if you don't have it. I think that's all I have that would have refs.
