Looks like you had a fun party. Hey even if you are not Mexican you are still brown.lol. My oldest sone, who has his dads light skin, he really thinks he is dark and tries to speak spanish, my middle child who looks completely white watches cartoons in Spanish. I know when we lived in Verona I only knew one other Mexican girl and she was Married to a Marines. When it comes down to it, color doesn't matter. But, it sure is hrad finding stuff to cook with. I may have to stock up

 

That's why I have a garden...and the grocery stores actually have a pretty good ethnic section...

And yeah, my B-Day Rocked!

You can, but in a Mexican Grocery store, which they do have a small one in Kinston.

So this weekend Ron and I went to a BBQ/ Fundraising event for Katie Johnson with the rest of the Carolina 501st garrison. We were able to raise over $400 for her, so I would definitely call it a success! We also had a total blast and took tons of pics. I started out wearing my Slave Leia, but then about 1/2 way through changed in my new Padme costume (I couldn't wait until Dragon*Con). Here is my Favorite pic of the event (it is soooooooo funny):

Thanks, but I can't take credit for them. The pics were mostly taken by my cousin Nate. I'm not sure who was in the batman costume. And the legs belong to Michelle.

J9: If I had known you were in the area, I would have told you to drop by. In all fairness though, Heroes is almost exclusively a comic book convention. The cosplayers are a pretty new addition, and the ones that were there were a very small percentage of the overall attendee's (in fact, we got pictures of almost all of them). The dealers area is cool, but unless you're really into comics or comic art, it's not much of a draw.

 

I love the picture of death. I dressed up like that once. Not with that hair though. I hate I could not go.

Jedi Joyner is my cousin he has always been a star wars fan. After i told him that this club was free to join he was eager to sign up. Unfortunately his computer is down for the time being and will not be able to post much. So he is definitely interested in that newsletter. He is also a newby Halo player.
