    One of my all-time favourite images: Ed White making the first American spacewalk.

    These pictures feel more grounded in reality than most other spacewalking shots. Seeing the planet from that angle and relatively close distance really puts the achievement in perspective. It's easier to grasp that these people haven't just traveled to some abstract place, but broken free of Earth's orbit. The four decades between then and now don't make it any less phenomenal.

    That first image has what looks like a ghost image of megatron on the right hand side...or is that just me?
