You know, Void, I've come to the conclusion that most people are just idiots. For example, I get these calls:

broker (whiny voice): Why won't you do this for me? ('this' referring to a pain in the rear process that I used to do manually, but that new technology allows the brokers to do for themselves. )

me: Because you can do that yourself now. You received several notices. We are no longer processing these requests.

broker: I never got any notice.

me: It was in the last FIVE updates. You know, the ones sent out every week, online where they pop up as soon as you log on. (Honestly, I don't know how we can make this stuff any easier for them.)

broker: Oh, well, I don't have time to read all that.

me: Would you like me to forward you to Compliance to discuss how we can better communicate these policy changes to you? ( )

broker (panicked): No! I'll do it myself. (They don't want to get in trouble for not reading the required info.)

Just do like I do, and make them afraid. It's fun!

This is why the stock for American Express went into the tank last year, er...2001 I guess it was... - the financial "experts" at American Express Financial Advisoris (AEFA) bought a whole stack of junk bonds, and they crapped out as junk bonds will, and AEFA lost approximately 26% of TOTAL value of the AEFA portfolio - that's billions of dollars...

Stupid people, trying to make a quick buck, and they ruined A) people's savings, B) the company's reputation C)the company's performance - Because of that, not only did I not get a bonus for 2002,(I lost about $2800 in bonus), I got laid off in 2003 because the company had to find a way to try and not lose their shirt over it and so cut costs by selling the technology division to IBM - Not that I'm bitter or anything...

This is why I won't trust a "brokerage" ever again...

Is there a way to edit documents created on acrobat reader, pdf?

 

Capture the image, edit in paint, export to word, re-write to pdf...

At least so far as I know - because the pdf file is actually just an image of the document - which is why it works on any system as long as acrobat reader is installed - it's actually an image viewer...
