Well, Tom, you might have more money if you allowed us to pay you for all the costume pieces you give away for free.

    ;)

Not exactly merchandise, but related in a way - this morning, head of LFL marketing Howard Roffman (whom I met at the SW concert), rang the opening bell on Wall Street this morning:

I don't think that's the point of Tom's generosity Matty. Or should he follow your example and sell stuff on the boards... [face_whistling]

However, spending wise... This one thinks people need to consider the overall use or novelty of having something and appreciating it's future value or sentimental attachment rather than some random impulse buy. Yes, I'm the one who bought TWO Jedi Mickey statues but I totally love mine and the other has a good home as well. :) Just my two credits... (Also my Jedi Mickey statues were discounted 30% from my Disney contact :D )

Now, [link=http://www.theforce.net/latestnews/story/Hasbro_Star_Wars_Toy_Fair_Secrets_Revealed_129441.asp]this[/link] sounds cool! Who wouldn't want a Millennium Falcon that you can fly around your living room? I haven't done any serious SW collecting for a couple of years - I don't have a place set up to display it, so it's all packed away in tubs - but this is tempting.

    STAR WARS R/C MILLENNIUM FALCON
(Approximate Retail Value: $49.99; Ages: 8 & up; Available: Fall 2010)
Han Solo once bragged that the Millennium Falcon made the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs?and now fans can give it their best shot with the all-new STAR WARS R/C MILLENNIUM FALCON! For the first time ever, the MILLENNIUM FALCON ? the most beloved and iconic STAR WARS ship of all-time ? is available as an indoor flying remote control vehicle. Measuring an impressive 11 inches long and 8 inches wide, the largest flying STAR WARS R/C to date is highly detailed, easy to fly and includes a charging controller and vehicle battery for up to five minutes of flying time.

The Adidas store said they'd probably get more sizes in the Skywalker and Stormtrooper styles, along with the new wave (which includes the TIE Fighter shoes) on March 1st.

I bet most people who bought them are selling them for twice the price on ebay!

They have one last pair of Yoda loafers at the adidas store. I tried them on but they were too small (8.5) Also the store manager told me that on march 1st they would only be getting the vehicular package (xwing, falcon, tie fighter shoes), but not the orange Skywalker ones I'm definately gonna try to be there on the march 1st to get some of those tie fighters.
