Moore is merely a reporter, he's not the problem--- he's just shining a spotlight on it.

 

And Roger and Me is one of the funniest movies made. "I'm running for Miss America. I'm not allowed to have opinions." Hah.

micheal moores truth is sort of like Obi-wan's in ANH. he twistes it till he makes it sound belieivable. pics bits and pieces out fabercates what ever stroy he wants to tell.

 

That's true of pretty much everyone. Any person's 'truth' is really their own opinion supported by the facts of their choosing.

 

...many of the truths you cling to depend greatly upon your own point of view...

 

Wow! All the Reps think he's full of it, and the Dems think he's telling you what They don't want you to know. What were the odds of that happening?

I saw the movie. I enjoyed it. But of course, I don't have much love for Pres. W, so I admit my view is going to be slanted. However, I will say this much, you do have to take it with a grain of salt. He's a documentarian. Therefore making him a filmmaker. By definition, he has to give a particular slant. The best that can be gained from this film is that maybe it'll get people to pick up a paper more often.

Now, Republicans, you have to get over yourselves. You're so mad at Michael Moore, did you stop to notice that your guy still won? (And this time, it was undisputed!) In fact, you guys seem to have the House packed. And you're still ticked? Hey, you won. Lighten up, and enjoy that both Representative Democracy and free speech are still alive and kicking in this country.


P.S. For those of you who think Fahrenheit 9-11 and it's sequel are an abomination to cinema, consider this for a moment: They're making a sequel to Underworld!

And since you're on the topic...I voted for W! I love Democracy...

 

W sucks. He is the worst president. I love the right to free speech.

 

Kerry is a moron. Bush might not be the best, but he was a hell of a lot better than Kerry could ever hope to be.

 

Okay, okay now people... People, our right to free speech is great, and it's one of the only things about this country I actually like, but we should try to not let ourselves get pulled into irrelevant political arguments on our Star Wars board...

Like Liz, I also happen to be anti-Bush.... ....but I'm also anti-Kerry, so don't try to lump me with one group or the other (I'm just waaaaaayyyy more anti-Bush than anti-Kerry).

All the baits and flames in last few posts are only going to get people annoyed at each other, and probably will generate bad karma, so can we just simply drop the subject here?

If y'all need to have a political debate on a Star Wars board, start a new thread for it, 'cuz these thoughts aren't 'random' anymore...
