One of those 'perfect moments' in life -- sitting next to a huge campfire, eating s'mores, drinking coffee, my niece cuddled up on my lap, my nephew demanding a story from his auntie, with the rest of the family gathered round. Happy sigh. Can't wait until next summer and the camping season to start up again.

I used a SW quote on the month Union newsletter. I always start it with some quote about knowledge. (we are teachers). This month I used 'Respect the difference between knowledge and wisdom.' And yes, I've used 'There is no ignorance, there is knowledge.'

Friday was payday. Yipee. I'll have money for about another half hour. Then I'm going to write out bills and I'll be broke again.

Decided that I'm just too busy to start on my doctorate this year, what with being a 'first year' social studies teacher. Gack, haven't gotten out of work before 4:30 all week. Was there until after 6:30 on friday. (I start at 7 AM). But I'm loving every, exhausting minute!

I don't think the US should attack Iraq. Yeah, Saddam is evil, but there's lots of evil dictators who are terrible to their people in the world. Its not the US's place to play policeman to the world. We can defend ourselves, help those that want it with economics/farm aid/food & medicine, but invading other countries that haven't directly attacked us first??? I don't think so. I think Shrub-boy is just trying to distract the American people from the worsening economy and follow up on the 'feud' his father was involved in. If the US really wants to 'take over the world' I say we do it by continuing to send McDonalds, Disney, and Coca-cola in to set up shop first. 'Conquer' through capitalism.
