When I watch through the saga, I usually watch Clone Wars (2003) in between AoTC and RoTS to bridge the films. If I could rate this as a film, I would place it on the same level as AoTC.

I'd love to see a demographic breakdown of a poll like this (though it would have to be conducted under controlled conditions, I suppose) - do such factors as age, gender etc have an influence on people's preferences?

This list seems to change pretty regularly for me, but this is the current line up. I just got fed up with Jar Jar in EP 1.....

Yeah, Jedi is my favorite even though I don't think it's the best.

 

The spaces indicate a pretty large gap in my view of the movies. In reality, I'd say TESB and ANH are way up there, ROTJ on a lower level, ROTS on a still lower level and those other two movies way down.

I want to clarify that I don't see ROTJ as a bad movie. It's just that the first two films were so high in terms of their quality that I can't help but mark ROTJ down for just being a "good" film, as opposed to being a masterpiece.

They're all equal to me.

I prefer to see the story as one cohesive saga, like one 14 hour long movie. But if I had to pick favorites:
