    Yes. Press screening.

2:15pm May 2 my time, which is like the evening of May 1 your time (probably).

Can't wait to hit PSA running on Thursday night when I get home... [face_mischief]

How'd you get it? I heard the Insider was sending out random invitations to people, but I didn't know they were doing it already!

If that's not how you got it, then how?

    Modview is fine, smartypants.

PB, any word on the contents and release date of the next set of JO tools (rumoured to be released in the next fortnight).

Just as long as you keep it away from us, that's fine with me. The best part of the whole ordeal is camping out. You can't beat that.

Yah, I know, PB! I'm seeing it at midnight with all my friends and even the 501st will be there! :)

Camping! Hah. I have better things to do with my time than stand in a line listening to kids say "I hear a cloned Darth Maul army does the attacking".

Sithy, I work for a company that is distributing a particular piece of AOTC related merchandise. If you've paid attention over the years you'll know where I work / what I do. (I'd prefer it not to be made public at this time though, thanks). Work got an allocation of tickets, and I secured one by threatening a temper tantrum.

No peripheral part of the movie experience is better than the movie itself.

I don't think I'm going to be able to camp out :(

That stinks. :( I wasn't able to last time for TPM. :(

How come you can't make it? I sure there's a Boston FF you could organize with or something! :)

I'm practically the founder of Fan Force Boston. I know what's going on, I just can't make it.

jp-30- I know who you work for! I know who you work for!

I'll be in line for those precious 12:01AM tickets, just like in '99.

    //good times

Well, those screenies don't look as bad as the original Dark Forces...

I'm replaying that at the moment (3 levels more to finish) and it's a nice breath of relief that my PC (at the extreme low end of the spectrum, but a tad better than jp's) is a "Very Fast" computer for DF heheeh.

    JO:

    DF:
    nice pixels and more

    JO:
    [image=http://www.hansen.net.nz/images/shot0004.jpg]

    DF:
    ahah

System reqs for DF (for old times' sake)
    COMPUTER: IBM and 100% compatibles
OPERATING SYSTEM: MS-DOS 5.0 or higher
CPU: 386DX/33 minimum (486DX/33 or higher strongly recommended) - heheheheheheh
    CD-ROM drive required
MEMORY: 8 megabytes RAM (6.5 megabytes XMS free)
HARD DISK DRIVE: 3.5 megabytes available space required
INPUT DEVICE: keyboard; joystick and mouse optional
VIDEO: 256-colour VGA/MCGA (Local Bus or PCI recommended)
SOUND CARDS: various popular sound cards are supported

If you wanna laugh at REALLY REALLY bad sys specs and the screenshots they produce, take a look at this

    Hey!

There are "after tweaking" images too, that are pretty good for a 4MB card.

By the time jp is even able to play MP, we'll be at a level of understanding that will take him 2 weeks to achieve. Excellent...

Actually, WSAENOTSOCK, those last DF screenshots have nothing to do with system specs. They're just from an incredibly crappy level. I remember downloading it once out of curiousity because it had the lowest score on a level review site, and it's really that bad.

I don't care if I lose at MP, as long as I die looking pretty.

    I'm guessing we can't post any nude Tavion skins? ;) She's a ***** anyway.

And I don't even know when AOTC is coming out. I'll just show up at 7:20 for the 7:30 showing whatever day it comes out.

I'm not worrying about it. Everybody in my town's too damn stupid to like Star Wars. That's how it was with TPM too.
