Wash, DC Ravencon 2006 in Richmond, Va. April 21-23rd

Thought I better post it here. yep, Richmond has finally cuahgt up with the rest of fandom in the world! Our first year, a con with Terry Brook as author GOH (he wrote novelization for Ep I), with other authors, author panels, costuming panels, fandom panels and a masquerade (I'm the director for that). it'll be at the Doubletree Inn at the Richmond Airport 5501 Eubank Road Sandston, Virginia 23150 Double Rooms are $84 per night

I've been to Richmond once.

 

Well you know J-Sat, if they can have cons in Cherry Hill, NJ, they can have cons in Richmond VA.

 

They have a nice air museum in Richmond. Been there a couple of times. One of the few that has an SR-71.

 

Not really...since Cherry Hill is more mainstream city than Richmond.



The real kicker is when Tinton Falls, NJ has had a Con for almost 10 years.

 

Let's be honest, I don't think it matters where a con is held, the geeks will flock anyway.
