RE: Announcing the CT Forum banner contest!

It's my pleasure to announce the opening of the latest, greatest Classic Trilogy forum banner contest! The contest will run through September 15. A winner will be chosen by popular vote of CT forum regulars, with my vote serving as a tie-breaker if needed.

Here's some useful info for anyone wanting to enter the contest:

- The banner should include the name of our forum as well as the Jedi Council
- Images should be in jpg format

Does anyone know of any sites with high-res or high-quality OT screenshots?

 

The only one I can think of is SW.com and they probably charge now to even go to the site.

Someone with those screenthemes could do a very good job with this contest.

The best quality pictures I've seen has been in Screen Themes.

 

The pics in the screen themes are just as good as pics you get other places. I've been looking for a while and I haven't found a site with hi-res pics. I imagine we won't see any until the OT hits DVD.

 

Damn gremlins.

 

I wish I had the technology to creat a banner. I'm sure I could come up with something very interesting. But I'll be looking forward to voting for a new one. I just wish they would change the banner over in the collecting forum.

Anyone who PMs me with a vote and I can recognize as someone who comes to this forum from time to time. In other words, anyone who's not a sock and not a person who was put up to voting. It's just a precaution to prevent the ballot box from being stuffed.

Theforce.net has got some in its multimedia section. There of decent qualitiy, and once you shrink it down to the banner size, the quality is good enough

 

Ah, the contest!

I made something a while ago. I only took battle sequences, no characters at all (I got tired of seeing those characters collages over & over again ).

Here it is (together with color scheme).

I'm gonna make some altered version later.

 

Very nice China. I like the no character POV, but why is there nothing about the battle of Yavin? Well, besides the X-Wing taking off from Yavin IV?


Oh, and anyone who throws in Leia in her Hoth gear gets my vote!

Oh, I forgot. My "post reply" image contains the battle of Yavin, but I haven't uploaded it yet. I shall upload it as soon as possible.

You can use pretty much any CT-related images you find. The multimedia section of TFN can be a primary resource for you.
