Ki-Bari: Your banner looks great, but I think it's a little too ... bright. I dunno, maybe that's a good thing with the recent trend though. The board colors could use some work, IMO, though. It's like WNU all over again.

Well I'm open to constructive critisism. If my scheme's too bright, how's this?

I did like the first scheme better than that...

This is just my general opinion to everyone making banners: The darker the better. Blues and greens I think would be cool for OT. That's just my opinion though.

Simple and blue (or grayish) is good.

 

I kind of like the blue scheme as well. The pink we have now can be harsh on the eyes after too much time.

 

I thought I'd have a go at a design myself, check it out here.

Personally tho, I think TyranusRex's designs are the best, great clean designs.

There's still a little over a week to go, meaning plenty of time for anyone else who wants to enter.

 

Wish I could accomplish something...

 

If I could enter, I would. I just don't have the necessities to design a banner.....yet anyway. I think it would be cool to do more of a vintage type banner.....with stars in the background and the main characters along the top. It should have the Emperor for sure, Vader, Luke (from ROTJ), Leia, Han (from ESB), and maybe some cantina aliens would be cool to have on the side. Some bold '70s type lettering for "Jedi Council Classic Trilogy" would be nice. Gosh I really wish I could do it!

Hey thats a really great banner Kinobe. One of my favorites so far.

 

Here's the links of all the banners submitted to this point that I could find. There were one or two links I left out because they were just a banner and not an actual scheme. Granted, I added in several of TyranusRex's banners, that was because I believe that they could all be interchangable with his overall scheme. So I threw them in as well. These are all great banners so far! Hard decesion this will be.

Oh. . . and if I may add, I notice a severe lack of "Hoth Leia" in these banners. Well, in all of them but Rex's Leia banner.

For those who designed banners but not a whole scheme, or didn't decide yet what they'd like the matching colors for the board itself to be, this is the time to start getting them in.

I was originally was going to do just the binary sunset just like GabeC's actually

The lettering did take a while to do, cos I didn't want to use the Star Wars typefaces that are out there, they're all a bit rubbish.

 

Darth China : Nice Concept. I'm not sure the text and your banner borders really suit your banner. They seem to "cartoony" to me...
Sky Wookie : Ouch! Your colour scheme hurts my eyes. You've got a nice banner there but I think the text makes it look too busy.

Grr... I would LOVE to take part in this contest, but the copy of Photoshop on the computer I have is too ancient to do anything with. My favourites at the moment are Ki-Bara-Mundi 's and Darth China's, although Ki-Bara's takes the lead as it's got more of ANH in it.
