I'm in the processing of making my sabers for my fanfilm, I Made them so 1/2" something can screw into them. I've been using PVC, when swinging them around, but I dont know if PVC is the best material (or even remotely good) what else do you people use? To me PVC seems better than a wooden dowel, but I've already broken one in a clash. Is there anything I can coat the PVC in to make it stronger? (shilac or something (SP?)) Or if I put a smaller dowel within the PVC will it make it less likely to break. Please give me your comments, thanks alot!

yes!!! put a wooden dowel inside of the pvc to reinforce it. That works wonders!
