We don't know all that much about Lando's past though. According to the Annotated Screenplays, Lucas was originally going to write Lando as a clone remenant of the Clone Wars. This idea was thrown in the trash though, and for good reason.

 

Ohhh ok. Yeah, that's from one of George Lucas' earlier drafts of Empire Strikes Back.

It's actually a concept Lucas created in one of his early drafts of the Empire Strikes Back. The Lando in the movie and later in the books IS NOT A CLONE.

With the current state of ignorance posed by LFL concerning origional concepts of the OT, I wouldn't be surprised if Lando WAS a clone.

Actually, Thrawn is a clone of Lando. It's a long story, but one that Zahn will be writing about in his next Star Wars short story.

Actually, Mon Mothma is a clone of Padme. And Luke is really Palpatine's son. It's going to be revealed in EPII.

If Mon Mothma is a clone of Padme, then the Clone Master responsible should be shot, because he definitely messed it up. Something was definitely lost in the transition.

Hey, anybody here read Wizard of Toyfare? I don't remember which one it is (probabaly Toyfare) but they have a Lando toy dressed up like a pimp, and they call him Pimp Lando and he acts like the Ladies' Man. It's hillarious!
