I hope this is ok to ask in the forum, if not I understand. I'm a new SW fashion doll fan, and want to get some dolls customized. Because I'm a newbie, I don't even know where to go to start asking. Is the Padawans guide site a good place to start? Again, I'm starting here just to find out how in general and where in general to start. PM msgs would be ok also.

    Thanks for the info.
Is there a section in the Padewans gd where I can look for info on OOAK's/Repaints?

AnnLouise - please check out our [link=]Female[/link] Collector's thread. Some of the posters there have made their own dolls and I am sure they can offer some good suggestions for yours!

    Ann Louise,
Padawans Guide has dolls section, but there are images only, not tips or tutorials.
If you want to learn how to repaint your doll, try this site:
Juan Albuerne also repainted one "Senate dress" Amidala by Hasbro:

Here, on Jedi Council forum/Fan activities/Costumes/ is also Doll costume thread. There you can ask how to....

I customized 3 12" dolls - as Padme, Amidala (white face) and unnamed handmaiden and made outfits for them (Picnic, Packing, Brown sleeveless, Lars homestead, Coruscant kimono and Green parade handmaiden) + added descriptions (I apologize for my poor English). You can see them here:
and patterns - if you decide to use them, please, be careful and pay attention to scale!
I hope it helps you :))

Again, thanks for all the info. I'm even trying to learn how to sew! Wish me luck.

There's also a great thread over in the Costuming & Props board [link=]here[/link] where you can ask all sorts of questions and you'll get great advice. There are lots of great doll artists who contribute over there :)

AnnrLouise as PadmeJainaLeia pointed out we have a thread over on the costuming board dedicated to Padme and Leia OOAK dolls. Padawan's Guide's doll page hasn't been updated in quite a while, Unendinglove hasn't been taking orders in over a year. But it is a nice page to peruse for inspiration if you're looking to do your own.
