I rip mine open as soon as I buy them. Their just no fun in those packages.

 

I'm the type who can get carried away so Ive limited myself to just buying Jedi figures.... that includes Dooku.. any lightsaber weilding character is ok.

 

A hint for the string on Jango is to wrap it around his wrist. I havent tried the jet pack yet. I feel weird I'm 16 and I'm playing with Toys. Wait its ok they are "Action Figures" so its ok.

Don't feel bad...I'm 21. And, the people I saw ripping open boxes and running people over last night were well older than me.

Toys are so much fun! What a horrible world it would be without toys. I don't care how old I am.

 

I don't know about anyone else, but I feel cheated that Hasbro spoiled some important story points in AOTC. I'm especially mad with the way one certain figure has SPOILED!!! the film for me and so many others. I only bought three figures, and one of them just floored me upon opening it. I'm sure those of you that have seen this know what I'm talking about. Why couldn't Hasbro have waited on a few of these till after the film? Anyway, this is my first post. Hopefully I'll get more involved with the threads now that this is off my chest.

 

I know which figure and which spoiler you're speaking of... But it's something I already knew cause of jerks on other boards.

 

umm...damn I want to know which figure or at least who it is unless thats a spoiler too. I'm gonna go shopping for mine on the weekend I need to know when to close my eyes and what not to get yet!

 

Kloon, don't read any of the backs, they give the story away.

The Anakin Hanger Duel has a major spoiler. Do not read the back or look closely at/open the figure. Otherwise, it should be fine.

 

Where is the BATTERY PORT on Count Dooku's action lighsaber? Anybody?

 

If you look on the inside of the box insert it was attached to, it explains it.

It's where the screws are, and you take the blade part off.

I got my Jango Fett (Kamino Escape) figure on Sunday just before work. It's really cool. I also bought the Padmé figure as well, even thought I planned to only buy the Jango. Who can resist Padmé?

Anyway, our TRU didn't have Count Dooku, Yoda, Geonosis Warrior, Jekster Dekster(sp?) or the Anakin (Hanger Duel). Although, from what you guys say, I'm glad they don't have the Hanger Duel figure, so I'm not spoiled.

 

Sorry, I spoke too soon. After I just tried to get my lightsaber apart, I discovered you only have to twist it apart.

I can't get mine apart, though.

EDIT - Nevermind, you have to unscrew a screw, twist it, then unscrew 2 more screws.

Fun stuff.

Just got back from Wal-Mart on my SECOND scavenging run (my first was at midnight), and thus far, I have:

Not a bad collection for someone without a job. I mean that's what, 11 figures, all priced at $5.88? Not shabby, IMO. I'll probably mow some more yards tomorrow.

 

I got 17 figures. Slave I, Ani's Speeder, Reek, and the sabers. I also got the JediDex.
And some other stuff. but, I am still tired from it all and I can't think of what the other stuff is.

 

To answer the question at the top of this page, I opened all the figures I bought. I still kept the packaging around, though.

 

I made a mistake on the list of figures that I don't have. My dad did find Typho but not Dexster Jettster. Here is what he couldn't find again:

Personally, I was upset that they put such a major spoiler in the form of a picture on the back of the figures.

I believe it was on the back of either the Obi-Wan Kenobi or one of the Jedi action figures, where one of the 'collect these other figures' had a spoiler on it regarding a character that appears to have a role in this movie, despite claims to the contrary.

Stupid toys...you'd think I'd have learned my lesson with the whole "Qui-Gon's Noble End" track of the E1 soundtrack...
