The Jedi Vergere, who Obi-Wan and Anakin were looking for in Rogue Planet, is the same Vergere who appears with the Vong throughout the NJO.

EDIT: Also, the "Far Outsiders" mentioned in Rogue Planet are the Vong.

Read Rogue Planet, then read all of the NJO and you'll figure it out.

Vergere went with the "Far Outsiders" to save Zonoma Sekot in RP.

Because on that planet, the Vong conquered the first and worst of the infidels for wearing rouge and red, lacy corsets and breaking into song for no apparent reason, setting the tone for the destruction the rest of the planets. It was the top hats that cinched it. (Yes, this is sarcasm, boys and girls.)

Zenoma Sekot was a planet which produced bio-ships that conformed to the owner of the ship. The ships were basicaly birthed after little creatures called seed partners attached themselves to the owner, and made a perfect custom ship for them. The Vong came and raped the planet of it's fantastic, living resources.
Sekot wasn't really a planet, but a sentient being. The Vong used the planet to shape new weapons and whatnot. Sekot blew a third of it-self into space to shuck off the Vong. They were shocked by it enough to stop, and with Vergere's negotiations, she left with the Vong to get them away from Zenoma Sekot. She's been there ever since.
