The funny thing is that most of these people are high school dropouts wearing confederate flags who can't even spell. Or they make posts actually threatening to shoot the president. Guess they're hoping for a visit from the Secret Service.

The district where I attend college is the district of Michelle Bachman. Needless to say it's a very conservative district even though most of my friends are Liberals or Libertarians. That marriage amendment nonsense was some fairly infuriating stuff here. I'm glad it got voted down, but it was so freaking close!

 

But Bill O'Reilly insists that teabaggers aren't racist.

I'm so confused.

I am really curious about the turnout compared to previous presidentail elections.

 

Anonymous claims to have blocked GOP plans to stea election in Ohio.

 

I would love for that to be true. As I mentioned a million times, I was convinced OH would be stolen. With Republicans still in charge of the state's machinery this would at least explain how it wasn't.

 

I'd prefer it not to be true - to think that the legitimacy of our election depended on outside influence in such a critical way is depressing

 

It's obvious that the GOP has been attempting to disenfranchise minorities and such with **** like voter ID laws, but I'm skeptical there was any (attempted) fraud anywhere near on a scale that could tip a Presidential election (never mind that Obama still would have won the EC easily without Ohio). I don't think someone like Karl Rove is that stupid. There are more effective, legal, slightly less direct ways to exert shady influence on elections that wouldn't blow up spectacularly in his face if ever found out. He was clearly banking on his super-PAC and its ads, etc. being his main instrument of Republican victory. And, ultimately, there's always another round of elections only two years away at most.

 

That's pretty damn tinfoil hat, right there.

 

It's a bunch of self-aggrandizing garbage from subversives. Ignore them.

 

Didn't say I believed it (I actually side with Suzuki_Akira; small comfort it might be that the GOP was unable to steal the election, it would be rather depression that an outside force was able to do what election officials could not.). I'm just the messenger in this case.

yeah, that could be. i probably invented some in my sleep or when i was a baby. i think jim morrison used one when he sang the phrase "dusky jewel" in hello i love you. i think he was talking about, you know, how certain "people" supposedly have, like, EMERALDS lodged in their chests? like gigantic emeralds that can deflect bullets? what do you think about that?
