Reason qui gon jinn didnt vanish and was burned

qui gon and anakin both were burned and yoda and obi wan vansihed....because at the time of there death yoda and obi wan knew the trick already but anakin and qui gon didnt

I think Luke was only burning the Vader outfit, and not the actual body of Vader. I think Qui-Gon didn't vanish because he had only learned how to retain his consciousness after death, but not to manifest to the eye. Qui-Gon then taught Yoda and Obi-Wan how to do both.

When Qui-Gon kneeled to meditate before facing Maul, he was activating his learning to retain his consciousness after possible death.
