    Chapter One

Bright multicolored lights danced across a duracrete street. A shadowy figure emerged from a secluded alleyway into the nearly abandoned street. Battered droids lay strewn around the ground, in a tangle of computer CPUs, and other obsolete tech trash that had been laid there to waste. He walked at a steady pace as if nothing around him mattered. A long trenchcoat flowed behind him as the mist that shrouded him parted; it covered his almost unbreakable genetically engineered body, making him look like an average man

Suddenly as if out of nowhere bright searchlights shown down on him, illuminating the metal buckles and chains that adorned his coat. The lights shifted over him and passed over the droid corpses, making their placid emotionless faces stare ghastly up at him. The lights then darted back over him, they had found him.

?You are under suspicion of direct collaboration with the Rebel Alliance!? proclaimed the loud almost mechanical voice that boomed from the airspeeder. ?If you are innocent then you will do as you?re told and stay where you are.?

The mans gray eyes looked up at the airspeeders hovering above him and waited until one of the sleek, menacing crafts landed behind him. The wind blew the long strands of his jet-black hair, that barely reached his mouth, out of his cold, pale face. Two skeletal figures approached him after exiting the speeder; their imposing white armor was all too recognizable to anyone who lived in these treacherous times.

The evil Emperor Palpatine had claimed ruler ship of the galaxy, wiping out all but a few of the long standing keepers of the peace known as the Jedi. Now the galaxy was in turmoil and the new anti alien plan was soon to be set in motion.

?Lets see some ID,? said one of the stormtroopers, commander by the look of him. The man looked at him with more malice than a rage filled gundark and simply said,

    ?No.?

At this blatant sign of disrespect both troopers raised their standard issue E-11 blastech rifles at the man. The lose gravel that found a home on the cold duracrete shifted making a scratching noise as the man elevated himself into the air. Both stormtoopers fired into the space where the man was but a minute ago, realizing too late that their lives were about to end. As the man flipped through the air he drew two custom high power blaster pistols, and cleanly shot straight through the helmets of both soldiers.

An eerie red glow raced down the alley where the blaster bolts ricocheted away at high speeds. Smoke billowed from the hollowed out helmets as the two men fell into the scrap pile of outdated technology, to join the dead droids.

The man was known as Killek Nykon, one of the first elite human commandos from the newly established Rebel Alliance.

A fell breeze blew across the alley, a breeze that on any other world would have instigated rain, however not on Coruscant, capital of the Empire. The city planet?s climate control had done away with rain many years ago.

Spotting the two fallen troopers, two hovering TIE Fighters arched around to detain Killek. Expertly Killek spun his double blaster pistols and concealed them in his large coat. He stood there, feeling no fear as the two TIEs closed in on his position. The wine of their engines shattered the silence as they approached him. Bursts of light erupted from their laser cannons the green light blasts strobed around him as the pinnacles of light stitched the ground around him. They passed. Killek raised his gloved hand and immediately the abandoned buildings that made up the underworld of Coruscant bustled to life as Rebel snipers opened fire on the passing TIEs.

The first fell to the ground in a fiery blaze, bringing light to the dead night atmosphere. The second, despite having no shields due to the small, agile nature of the craft sustained the hits well. It came shrieking around for another pass, this time targeting the new figures that sat atop the crumbling ferocrete roofs. Killek, realizing his teammates wer
