Rebel Dream!!! Six days early!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yay!

Hiya all. Guess what I have sitting right in front of me? Yes, I have found Rebel Dream already in bookstores. I was out shopping for a friends birthday, scanned through a B. Dalton, and was on my way out when I saw a cart of freshly unpacked, and as yet unshelved books. Rebel Dream took up a third. Of course, I grabbed one for myself and one for a friend. It looks soooooo beautiful. Dramatis personal features Rogues and Wraiths, including Face and Piggy. In the Vong section, you can see two new Lahs, and a new shaper character. Should be interesting. I'm off to read. Will be back tommorrow/Friday with spoilers if this thread is still alive.

 

Oh, and I forgot, if any of you live in the San Diego area, get over to the B. Dalton in the Mission Valley mall. That's where I found it!

 

Does it give Face and Piggy's ranks on the Dramatis Personae?

No rank for Piggy, but he's in Twin Suns, as is Jagged. Viqi Shesh and Alema Rar are both in the Dramatis as well.

I'm wondering how Jag can be in this novel if it takes place at the same time as Dark Journey.

 

Well, Chapter 1 starts [bold]One month ago Borelias Occupation, Day 1[/bold] DJ seemed to take a month or less, which would put most of Rebel Dream's action soon thereafter.

 

From what I've heard Jaina Kyp and Jag arrive at Borelis a few days after the book starts.

 

Anything about Kyp and Jaina confronting Luke, Mara, Han, Leia, and the other Jedi about their actions in Dark Journey?

 

Man I need to go hit the stores!

 

How so? It comes out a week from yesterday. Thus, six days...

Easy, DRIN (the Del Rey Internet Newsletter) is still saying the Rebel Dream is not scheduled to hit stores until April 2002, not March. They've been saying so since the April releases was frist listed on DRIN. While some folks did get Dark Journey in January, the release date was still supposed to be February. So getting Rebel Dream this week is still more than six days early.

 

Um, no. Dark Journey was released on January 29th, so there's no reason why people couldn't have gotten it in January.

 

I'm so jealous!

 

March 26 is the official date. It's been in the SW insider and Gamer, along with some other book advertisments.

Thus far, Luke hasn't left his cockpit. Will let you know when I do. So long for tonight.

 

I was able to get SbS and DJ like 5 days early at Borders. I'm gonna go there tomorrow and hopefully I'll get lucky.

My goodness. Someone found a new book early, and it wasn't Rebecca. The world is coming to an end...

You Americans are lucky. Approaching Storm arrived in a bookstore near me (in Australia)about ONE.FIVE MONTHS later than launch date. (shakes fists at all north americans)

 

TAS came out less than two months ago in the States.

I hope that book store gets what it's supposed to now.
