JCC REBELLION!

In an interesting and rather hilarious twist to the shopping cart dilemma, our local HEB magnetized the shopping carts so that when they reach the end of the parking lot, they become stuck and its almost impossible to move them. I've watched in amusement how a frustrated customer had to take out all of his bags out of the cart to make it to his car, which was just a few steps further (and outside the store's parking lot).

 

That sounds like a bad ICP situation. Those must be powerful magnets. Is there video? I just searched and found nothing.

 

I'm assuming they're magnets, I don't really know. And I don't think there's video, at least I was too entertained to think about whipping out my cellphone and record it.

 

Auto-locking grocery carts are pretty commonplace. In the past nine months, I've seen them in the Pacific Northwest, the South[east], the Midwest and New England. It's designed to prevent homeless people from converting them into mobile fortresses.

 

Well, it's pretty recent here. And the biggest problem is people living a few blocks from the store that are too lazy to carry their grocery bags and just take the whole damn cart to their doorstep.

Went to a church used book charity sale and didn't by a thing even though the books were only 50 cents a piece.

 

Neighborhood yard sale today. I ain't sellin' nuttin'.

 

I used a sick day at work today even though I'm not sick.

 

I've been at work since 6:30 this morning and all I've done is drink green tea and fart around on the internet.

 

I could go back to work tomorrow, but since I have a Dr's note giving me the week off I shall not unless my employer calls and asks me.

 

I called in sick for one of my classes in order to finish a paper for that class.

 

Your classes have mandatory attendance?

 

Couple of jackets on the couch. Recently purchased books also on the couch. Dishes are put away but the floor is a tad dirty. Yeah, I had this whole week off and coudl have cleaned. But I didn't.

My boss asked me if I had finished a project I was working on. I said yes, but I wasn't finished yet. Then I went and finished it so it would be done when he checked.

 

My fiancee asked me to pick up milk on the way home last night. I bought beer instead.

We're a small liberal arts school, so yes sadly. And some profs are real dirtbags and won't allow you to have electronics out. I do it anyway though, and I say that I have the article online.

 

When I exited the theatre after seeing Gravity i threw my 3D glasses in the regular garbage rather than the recycle bin.
