    This episodes really hilighted for me how awful the lightsabers in this series look. I know they're trying to imitate the look of the lightsabers in the OT, but it looks horrible. Kanan's lightsaber looks really thin and brittle, like the blade could snap in two at any moment. Plus it flickers a lot and makes an asthmatic sound that makes it sound like its about to die. All in all, the lightsabers in Rebels are poorly done and I really miss the solid, unwavering lightsabers of the Clone Wars. Even the Inquisitor's lightsaber isn't much better. I really dislike the thin appearance that the series gives the lightsaber, it really looks like it could snap in two at any moment. That's not what a lightsaber should look like.

    His word is more canon than a canon book? That's news to me.

    TadoFett said this,

    "Well, in the past the website has said the Tantive IV and the ship in ROTS are the same, and that the ship was heavily refitted before ANH which is why it looked different. Several years ago Leeland Chee said they were different ships, but George Lucas said it was the same one. Take your pick. As I said, anything not in the movies, current books, or cartoons is not canon. There are still things on the site, story group or not, that do not fit in with stated canon, so the site can't be entirely relied on. They may be separate ships, but quoting the website doesn't prove it one way or another."

    I assume Tado knows what he is talking about he seems like an honest fellow, plus it doesn't take much to put two and two together both ships were owned by Bail and both ships looked identical except for there color.

    I'd like to point out that Sundered Heart still doesn't have the same paintjob as Fulcrum's ship. So whether you believe it's the Tantive IV in RotS or not, well...

    I just find it to be a stretch that the Tantive IV went through this:
    RotS: Blue paint job
    Rebels: Red paint job
    Rebels: Different blue paint job, just a couple of months later
    ANH: Red paint job (same as Rebels)

    That makes no sense, really.

    So, I was just gathering a few more thoughts about the latest (fantastic) episode of Rebels... :)

    After sitting and absorbing things for awhile, now, I think I pretty much agree with your sentiment, here.

    Don't get me wrong, I'm an original-period, OT kid; one who grew up watching (and adoring) those kind of blades. And as you say, we know that honoring the thin-looking blades from ANH was the inspiration behind the move. It's a wonderful thought. :)

    But even George Lucas went and beefed-up the look for ESB (and went even thicker, yet, in ROTJ). It's clear to me that George was aiming for something that he had in mind, and that ultimately, the thin ANH blades weren't quite there yet.

    Again, a very, very nice idea -- at least in spirit -- but I'm kind of on the fence about the actual results. Even after nearly a decade of living with Episode III and TCW, I'm still undecided about the pointy tips of the blades which were introduced in ROTS.

    But otherwise? I think the PT lightsabers were (and are) a wondrous thing to behold.

    Heck, overhauling the OT lightsabers completely, until they met with PT standards, is one of the few major changes I was actually hoping Lucas would make to my beloved Star Wars Trilogy. I won't necessarily go quite as far as you, and say that I find the Rebels lightsaber blades look "awful," but going backwards to the ANH look almost feels like maybe it was an improper design choice by the Rebels team, aesthetically.

    =========================

    Yeah, that could be it.

    My opinion? Though Organa may not personally be the Fulcrum (I have my doubts that he is), I think the sudden appearance of a blockade runner was likely intended as a pretty clear indicator to the audience that Bail and Fulcrum are linked, somehow.

    After all, taking Organa's appearance in "Droids in Distress," along with the ship, here, it certainly makes all the sense in the world that Bail is involved at some level.

    If EU tradition holds, then Organa will be the one largely responsible for financing the fledgling rebellion. He'll be footing the bill.

    =========================

    He/she was the leader of the contingent of Stormtroopers attached to the Inquisitor on the Fort Anaxes asteroid.

    [IMG][IMG]

    Probably not the best angle to check it out, but so far, it was the only one I was able to find online.

    Still, on the plus-side, at least the photo also has the red color in the Inquisitor's armor for comparison's sake. I think it's pretty convincing evidence that what we're seeing is, in fact, our first look at a red pauldron (and not just an orange pauldron in weird lighting, or something).

    What do you think?

    =========================

    Oh, and one final thought, everyone: I didn't go back and re-read everything (so apologies if this was already touched upon), but what about the Inquisitor taking off his helmet, inside a TIE fighter, while in space? I mean, talk about immediately jumping out at me. Wow! :p

    Anyway, someone please tell me that this was referenced in a trivia guide, or something? I know the Inquisitor's rank has earned him an advanced TIE; surely this must account for the difference between his, and a standard-production TIE fighter, which (unless canon has been changed here, as well) would not only lack shields (as already mentioned in the show), but are without hyperdrives and cockpits with life-support systems, as well? @cwustudent I gave you all my source, TadoFett said it and he sounds like an honest fellow.....;) if you look back in this thread you can see what he said, plus They were both Bails ship and except for color were almost identical .....

    I found this with Quotes George Lucas Claims it is the same ship in A New Hope and Revenge Of The Sith but Rob Coleman says it is not, last time I checked George Lucas is the God Like Figure that created and wrote Star Wars so I think I will take George's word for it,

    Early concept sketch for a Rebel blockade runner.
    The Tantive IV first appeared in the novelization of the Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, where a hit on the "principal solar fin" damaged the ship. In the film the final shot went to the sensor array, but was diverted and hit the engine section. The Incredible Cross Sections explained that the shot overloaded the starboard shield projector, causing damage in the power generator system, which led to shutting down the reactor.
    Star Wars Insider 90 states that the ship was built under the name Star of Alderaan by order of Queen Mazicia Organa for Senator Agrippa Aldrete as a consular vessel. Since Agrippa Aldrete was Senator of Alderaan before the time of The Phantom Menace, this statement contradicts the former statement, that the ship was built some time before the end of the Clone Wars.
    In Star Wars Insider 93's article, "May the Facts Be With You: Part One: #1-50", the Tantive IV was noted as being built with a single white-walled hallway and turn, alongside a redressed Millennium Falcon hold, filmed from several angles to save money. In addition, the production model for the Tantive IV was also twice as long as the production model of the Devastator.[7]
    The Tantive IV was originally portrayed using a plastic model for the filming of A New Hope. The creators of model placed a miniature pin-up girl poster in the cockpit as a joke. It is not visible in the final film. Later, during the filming of Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith, a CG model was used, but the two models have many differences in appearance, which ultimately led to identifying the new design as a different ship.
    Re-retconned appearance in the Revenge of the SithEdit

    [IMG]<img src="http://img4.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111107023557/starwars/images/thumb/a/af/TantiveIV_CR70.jpg/250px-TantiveIV_CR70.jpg" alt="TantiveIV CR70" class="thumbimage " data-image-key="TantiveIV_CR70.jpg" data-image-name="TantiveIV CR70.jpg" width="250" height="91" >
    Sundered Heart as a CR70 corvette.
    Until 2010, official sources stated that the ship in A New Hope and in Revenge of the Sith are the same. At the official Star Wars website, the Rebel blockade runner is specifically shown to appear in Episode III, Episode IV, and Episode VI. Many sources supported this, including The Art of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, which states:
    "...Lucas reveals that [the] first ship seen in the 1977 Star Wars—the Rebel blockade runner (aka the Tantive IV)—will reappear in Revenge of the Sith. Within the ship, in addition to reconstructing the familiar corridor through which Darth Vader strides, Lucas requests a new meeting room. He also approves of an idea whereby the ship could be reverse-engineered from its Episode IV Rebel version to an earlier peacetime version of itself."—AoSW:RoTS pg. 104
    However, a quote in the July 2005 issue of the Cinefex Magazine from Rob Coleman, who was the animation director on Revenge of the Sith, suggests the idea of a different vessel in the third prequel:
    "One of the most fun things about this show was linking the first trilogy to this one, introducing designs that make more of an appearance in A New Hope." The cruiser flown by Bail Organa, for example, is a predecessor to the Rebel blockade runner featured in the first shot of the original Star Wars. "It looks a little bit different, but you can tell it comes from the same factory."—Cinefex #102 pg. 68
    The profile for the CR70 corvette in the Star Wars Insider 90 explained the differences of the two ship to fit in with Coleman's comment by stating that the Revenge of the Sith version is a CR70 model and the A New Hope version is the Tantive IV after an extensive refitting, as a CR90 model.
    Another retcon appeared in Star Wars Blueprints: Rebel Edition, in which the Corellian Corvette seen in Episode III was actually the Sundered Heart, from the game Star Wars: Empire at War. In August 2010, it was confirmed by continuity-referee Leland Chee, that the ships in the two films are not the same.[8]

    Her age would've been confirmed when it was revealed that she was Luke's twin. Since it is widely known that Luke is 19, Leia is also 19 at the time of ANH, therefore both Luke and Leia are now 15 or almost 15

    The Inquisitor has certainly proved to be more competent than Lucius Malfoy ever was. I was worried that having Jason Issacs as the voice actor would be a mistake, but he's doing an excellent job. The Inquisitor stomped Kanan into the ground in this episode, proving that he's a far superior duelist and Force wielder in general. Ezra didn't even rate on the Inquisitor's level. I loved the way he tried to use Kanan's lightsaber and the Inquisitor just snatches it out of his hand. Very impressive.
