Full Series Rebels 2.04 - Relics of the Old Republic - Discussion Thread (Spoilers Allowed)

Yea it annoyed me that Rex didn't recognize them. They could have threw in an Easter Egg line about him vaguely remembering the prototype versions. Even though they decanonized they EU Tarkin, the Kanan comics, and LOTS all contain callbacks and easter eggs to certain EU stories.

Loved the battle footage, in particular the AT-ATs in the sandstorm. Quite a nice ending with Rex meeting up with Ahsoka too.

 

This episode was 10/10. Really really good. As in so good.

Loved Hera and Kanan confiding in each other. The Ghost crew and clones fighting side by side was a great touch.

The clones sacrificing themselves Master Di style gave feels - that they knew they would not survive was brilliant. It would be cool for a little more shock reaction to the Imperial walkers, given that they are meant to be something new aren't they? I also think maybe that given the sheer size of the walkers and Kallus mentioning he had plenty, there should have been at least a platoon or two of troopers in the walkers, not just two with him lol. For example in ESB, the walkers are carrying an invasion party.

I liked how the Ghost crew came back and the lightsabers being utilized. The storm scene was also very very cool and the trust between Jedi and trooper again nice.

Was it this episode, or previous, but Gregor handing Kanan a weapon and saying here you go general was funny.

Would be cool to see the clones in action, and also flashbacks of their time under the Empire serving as the first stormtroopers.

The ending with Ahsoka was excellent. Overall a great episode. Maybe the clones should have slightly fuller armor though than a rag tag look. And are the other two clones joining us in the future?
