Lit Recanonized EU: A List

It looks like HK-47 might not be canon for long.

I see two possible reasons for that planet being included in the map.

1) It is indeed somehow tied to TFA. 2) It's just because they wanted to fill out the Unknown Regions corner of the map, and thought a bringing back planet were all the important stuff happened thousands of years in the past would have minimal conflict with the new canon.

Also I don't see Rakata being brought back just to make them an "ordinary species". I can see them being ignored if no author decides to do anything with them or this new mention of Rakata Prime. I can see large changes being made to their backstory, like with the Nightsisters. But I don't expect we'll see any Rakata casually in the background of a cantina anytime soon.

 

Does the TFA visual dictionary map recanonize the infamous Unkown Regions location?

 

It does. Left side of the map, only contains Rakata Prime and Starkiller Base.

 

The Unknown Regions were already identified as such in Tarkin, anyway.

 

The Delta-class DX-9 stormtrooper transport shows up in SW Annual #1.

Rakata being Canonized means seeing as it's the last planet from KOTOR to not be Canon until now

Maybe Revan will be canonized since Kylo Ren, when he has his helmet/mask on along with the hood, looks like Revan.

 

Or maybe it means they're planning on releasing an HD super-remake of KOTOR

I think part of the reason it was brought back into canon was to help make a nice right angle between Rakata, Ord Mantell so you could see easier where Starkiller Base is and then compare it with the Legends Galaxy map and....
So yes, I think they were using it to try and drop a hint about Starkiller Base in TFA.

That said if Rakata is back will the Rakata (species) also be back? And if they do come back what of the Infinite Empire? I think there is a high chance a lot of this will be used again, but in what way we don't know. Given even in KOTOR the Rakata are quite a mystery I don't think they will need to change much [spoiler/]

 

Just going through Databank at random and I saw:

Yarua of Kashyyyk !

He is back.

 

Senator Yarua was in The Phantom Menace.

The Tierfon Yellow Aces have been recanonized via a helmet that was found among the wreckage on Jakku.

Not Janson. The helmet's owner was named, and it wasn't Janson.

 

The Stormtrooper Transport never got the love it deserved. It really should have been the successor to the LAAT/i.

Good. That means Janson still has his helmet somewhere.

I don't remember his full name, but interestingly, his last name was Raeh.

 

Is there a reference I'm missing there? Unless you mean Raeh could be related to Rey?

 

The implication being (to me, at least) that maybe her real name isn't Rey; she could've found the helmet and used that name for herself (the word "Raeh" is stenciled on the helmet in Aurebesh). But that's speculation.

 

Hasn't Luceno, in Tarkin, recannonized some of his previous works at least partially?

So with a New rebels trailer revamp nixing the KOTOR hammer head ships I wanted to see if I knew everything from KOTOR that has been re canonized.

Malachor...although how much the canon version resembles the one from KOTOR II is unknown.
