Recruiting Event Idea

    Hi all,
    I had a brain flash yesterday, and wanted to run it by y'all....

    What if we turned the bbq into a recruiting event? Spend some money out of the budget, advertise with LOTS of flyers that say something like:

    Do you Love Star Wars?

    Want to meet other local Star Wars Fans?

    Join us for a Barbecue!

    We could have hot dogs and pop or something, maybe volleyball, stuff like that. Try to get some new people to come and see how cool we all are....

    It would be completely informal, no speeches, no JOIN US presentations, just a chance for potential members to meet us and see what we're all about....

    Whaddya think?

    That does sound like a good idea. Would we have it at the same place again? Also, when? Having it Labor Day weekend might not get us many people, since it is the last holiday of the summer.

    This is a really good idea. It would even better if we could get a buncha pole dancers dressed like Slave Leia. (Just kidding...well maybe not)
