Well, I won't pick obvious things like the Millennium Falcon since that's really a character I'm betting we'll see anyway. So I will keep it obscure-ish.

1- I always liked how the Tusken Raiders looked. I know they're supposed to be primitive and savage, but I think it would be cool if a TR was a bounty hunter or a bh wore Raider headgear or something.

2- Snow speeders. Love 'em. technically they're air speeders. Would love to riff off the pimped-out AT-AT by seeing a pimped-out armored air speeder.

3- Then I'll go new school. I think it'd be pretty cool if a character had a droid bodyguard, say a super battledroid, all old and patched together. Maybe painted different and of course reprogrammed from the Clone Wars.

 

I'd accept any technology or weapons from previous eras. Technology in the GFFA seems to be pretty stagnant - the Empire can build bigger versions of existing things, but seemingly not fundamentally new things. So, I think it would make sense to see a few old ships or droid designs scattered throughout the movie.

It would stretch credibility to reuse old costumes, though. We've seen that fashions changed a lot between the PT and the OT.

 

1) Some old Trade Federation robots 'ROGER ROGER!'

2) Nein Numb - seriously, who doesn't want to see him!

3) Tie-fighters.

 

Artifacts belong in Indiana Jones..... NOT Star Wars!

 

Somehow, I really like the idea of recycling the good old TF battledroid, reprogrammed and pimped up, just as a nod to the prequels. I imagine the scene like this:

Our main protagonist is waiting for a mysterious informer in an arena where the main attraction is droid fights.
A pimped up battledroid faces IG series droid.
The battledroid beats the heck out of the IG.

 

A droid gladiator battle would be kind of cool.

 

I have nothing to contribute to this thread at the moment, but I just wanted to stop by and say that it's a really interesting thought experiment.

Hell yea to the idea of a patched up battledroid, as a bounty hunter or something. If only Droid Commandos were in the movies, I'd have one of them working as a hired gun.
instead of having a working AT-AT in the film, I can see the ruins of one, overgrown on a jungle planet, as the perfect setting for a one on one light saber duel.
Otherwise, I mostly want to see evolutions. Like there better be speeder bikes, but new ones would be fine.
Oh, and I second more Tuskens.

 

That droid who worked in Jabba's palace in ROTJ, the evil one that put the restraining bolts on R2D2 etc - can we bring him back?

 

I would love a Droid chimera, consisting of a multitude of different known droid parts.
I would also love to see some Hutts
and B'omarr monks

And I would love the old McQuarrie designs of Vader's castle to be used. I would love Luke to be on a pilgrimage searching the castle of his father for Sith artifacts (maybe digging up a ceratin carbonfrozen Togruta...

 

I don't think I've ever seen the word "pimp" used so many times in one thread on this site.
1) The Dagobah "Cave".
2) Another type of YT-1300 or similar freighter.
3) The hyperspace jump shot.
Before I noticed someone else mention it, I too added Vader's meditation chamber. Did he have another? Would another Jedi use one, and would it be designed in a more inviting fashion? How did it look inside when closed?
