    First off, as it pertains to dream card threads, I would very much like to see only two threads related to them--this one and the other main one that's floating around. I know we have a lot of creative minds around here and I don't want to see the forum get cluttered with a ton of creativity that probably the majoity of the people here really don't care much about.

    Having said that--yes, I'm opening my own dream card thread for just my dream cards because...well, because this is my forum I suppose and I can ;) And also because I have plenty of dream cards to fill up my own thread. And also because I think I make some fine dreamcards and I love to share them with the community. And because maybe, just maybe, Decipher will one day stop by here and see my stuff and realize how much of an asset I would be to them--especially in the EU field :D

    Now this isn't to say that only I make good cards. I have seen some very good ones both in this forum and in other places over the years. Basically I just wanted my own little place where I could showcase what I think of some very cool cards. That's all. I will probably post a cuple of dream cards every few days. Feel free to post feedback on them--positive or negative--ignore them, laugh at them whatver. Believe me, being a writer I take criticism very well.

    Okay I'm posting this first batch as a group. I think that this Politics game mechanic could help fix a few things in the Classic Era...

    *Mon Mothma
    Rebel-Dest.1
    Power=1, Ability=3 Politics=4
    Deploy=4, Forfeit=6
    LORE: Imperial senator from Chandrila. One of the Rebellion's most important spokeswomen and of of its key organizers.
    TEXT: Agendas: justice, anti-Imperial. Once per turn while in a senate majority you may take one Rebel character or starship just drawn for destiny into hand.

    *Garm Bel Iblis
    Rebel-Dest.1
    Power=3, Ability=2 Politics=3
    Deploy=3, Forfeit=5
    [Pilot][Warrior]
    LORE: Outspoken Corellian senator against the Empire and the Rebellion's other major political supporter.
    TEXT: Agendas: justice, anti-Imperial. While on Coruscant you may deploy one senator from your deck with an anti-Imperial agenda to same site. Adds 2 to power and hyperspeed of any Rebel starship he pilots.

    *Bail Organa
    Rebel-Dest.1
    Power=2, Ability=2 Politics=3
    Deploy=3, Forfeit=6
    LORE: Head of the House of Organa on Alderaan and respected senator. Secret supporter of the Rebel Alliance, but despises war.
    TEXT: Agendas: justice, peace, anti-Imperial. While in a senate majority, your Rebels may deploy -1 as a 'react' to a Force drain at a site even without presence or Force icons. Battles cannot be initiated where present and Order To Engage is cancelled.

    *Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan
    Rebel-Dest.1
    Power=3, Ability=3 Politics=3
    Deploy=3, Forfeit=6
    [Warrior]
    LORE: Member of the House of Organa on Alderaan. One of the Imperial Senate's youngest senators ever. Rumored to be a member of the Rebellion.
    TEXT: Agenda: anti-Imperial. While at Imperial Senate with another anti-Imperial senator, you may Force drain at Yavin 4 with Massassi Base Operations on table and add one to your Force drains wherever you have an alien with 'Rebel', 'Rebellion', or 'Alliance' in their lore or a non-unique Rebel.

    Just curious, do actual fan card images fall under the "dream card" header? I wasn't sure, which is why I posted that Tarkin Doctrine/Technological Terror image under its own thread. (and now, after its been pointed out to me that I made a slight boo-boo on the card text, I'll be updating, and I assume that, since the thread is there, I might as well post the newer version under that thread if fan cards are considered the same as dream cards, while all future ones would go under the dream cards thread).

    Can we post YJ dream cards? If so, here's a link to a set of Dream Cards from the Decipher BBS I made not long ago based on "Outlander". Comments are definitely welcomed. :)

    BTW, at last I am a CCG card. Happy day. :D

    Links to images are fine, just no actual images in the thread.

    YJ cards are just as welcome as SW and JK, just besure to post all these links and stuff in *one* thread--and not in mine ;) I basically don't want to see more than one dream card thread on this page (not counting my Emporium) and I'd prefer not to see one thread for one card--post general topic threads. Other than that "dream card" away :)

    my question is are "dream cards" (text-only "spoiler style cards) considered the same as "fan cards" (where the text has been applied to an actual card image).

    In my judgment, yes. What's the difference? Both are cards created by fans/players--one is text, one goes one step further. I'd actaully prefer not to see images or links to images since Decipher really doesn't like that. Text dream cards they can tolerate, but actual card images in the public eye they tend to frown on-- A LOT. Personally, I think they're cool; I have some myself, but I do not make them available for public display in respect for Decipher's wishes. I would appreciate it if you guys would also do the same :)

    Well, that old Ralph McQuarrie painting of the two death stars being constructed was just dying to be used ina card inage, so I had no choice, you see, it commanded me to make it[face_batting]

    Oh well, I guess I'll just have to restrain myself to boring old text[face_batting]

    (no promises on my eventual continuation of my Babylon 5-SW:CCG[face_batting] )

    Okay, here are a couple more from my archives. You all know how much I LOVE Sabacc so of course I had to have a dream card :D

    *Random Sabacc
    Used Interrupt-Dest. 1 or 6
    LORE: Popular form of sabacc in many casinos. Combines the rules of over 10,000 official forms of sabacc. Rules change randomly.
    TEXT: Both players must place all versions of Sabacc from their hand, Lost Pile, and Life Force (face down) here, and reshuffle. If either player draws a clone card, Sabacc versions are immediatley changed, and play resumes. The winner wins double

    SPECIAL RULES: Random Sabacc- After you initiate Random Sabacc, and the pile of Sabacc variants is formed, start playing by revealing the top Sabacc card first. When initiating this version of Sabacc only, ignore the Requirements portion of all Sabacc variants. The only requirement neccessary for playing this version of Sabacc, is that the character you target must be listed on at least one of your versions of Sabacc in the pile. When versions need to be changed, shuffle the Sabacc pile, reveal the top card and resume playing where you left off. DO NOT DISCARD CURRENT HAND AND CREATE A NEW HAND. All cards in Sabacc hands now follow the rules of the new version of Sabacc. This could mean that your hand is now totally worthless, extremely valuable, or didn't change at all--the very purpose of Random Sabacc. When Random Sabacc is fininshed, all versions of Sabacc return to the owners' Used Piles.

    This DS Interrupt was created after reading the third book of the X-wing series. I thought it would make for a cool game mechnic and make capturing a little more interesting.

    *Imperial Reprogramming
    Used or Lost Interrupt-Dest.4
    LORE: Though expensive, the Empire has been known to reprogram prisoners as double agents. This threat alone puts all released prisoners under suspicion.
    TEXT: USED: During your control phase, release any or all prisoners of ability< 4 from a prison where your ISB agent present. Opponent must lose 2 Force for each 'released prisoner' at a location. LOST: Use X Force to cross a 'released prisoner' to your side of table (X=prisoner's forfeit).

    SPECIAL RULES: Released prisoner- A new term which is defined as any character released from a prison. A character retains this characteristic for the rest of the game(unless otherwise stated) even if redeployed later.

    And because I just hate seeing a bad card not get fixed in the game:

    Full Might Of The Empire
    Used or Lost Interrupt-Dest.7
    LORE: Little can be done when your contending with the full might of the Empire.
    TEXT: USED: If you just used Imperial Domination, opponent may not activate Force at related sites as well. LOST: If Vader or an Imperial leader is at same location as Imperial Domination or Well-earned Command, you may deploy cards as a 'react' to that location at half the deploy cost (round down).

    Not to be pushy, but LucasFilm doesn't like people bashing the title, but they do it anyway. If we can defy Uncle George, why not Decipher?

    Because Decipher cuts TFN into a lot of things that they has long been against their policy and I do not wish to jeopordize that. Making fun of the Ep2 title is 1st Amendment rights; making spoilers of any kind (technically) is against Decipher's legal/copyright policy (and LFL's to an extent). That's why :)

    I like this thread. I've had this idea for a card banging around my head for awhile, so I thought I'd put a few words to it.

    The card is an effect.

    Title-- With one blaster.

    I'm thinking this card will primarily effect Owen Lars. I got the idea from seeing the Biggs-Toche Station footage. You know the line: "Aw, come on. Your uncle could hold off a whole colony of sandpeople-- with one blaster!"__ Biggs Darklighter.

    You can see where I was wanting to go with this...

    All this talk of making Player Expansions got me to dig into to my archives for some of my favorite stuff. One thing I liked to do was to take a theme player's deemed "non-competitive" and make it so. Two themes that fit that description at the time were Attack Run/CPI and the serious power struggle for control of Cloud City--specifically the exploitation of the Dark Side Lando.

    Attack Run:
    *Ren Nedriis
    Rebel-Dest.2
    Power=2, Ability=2
    Deploy=2, Forfeit=5
    Warrior
    LORE: Leader in charge of the Rebel sentries on Yavin. Former member of Rebel resistance on Ralltiir.
    Power +1 with Jeroen Webb. Deploy only on Yavin 4. When at a Yavin site, Yavin Sentry is non-unique, its bonuses are doubled, and all three modifiers apply at once.
    (This card was actually made before Grondorn Muse. There is a similar character for Death Star Sentry.)

    *Dr'uun Unnh
    Rebel-Dest.4
    Power=1, Ability=3 (Force Attuned)
    Deploy=2, Forfeit=3
    Pilot
    LORE: Sullustan naturalist and expert scout. Helped construct the Rebel base on Yavin IV. Thouroughly explored the area surrounding the base, compiling the best known record of the jungle moon.
    While at an exterior Yavin site, once per turn you may deploy a Yavin site directly from your Reserve deck; reshuffle. Also, where you have a Yavin Trooper or Sentry your Force drains are +1 (these drains and modifiers cannot be modified or canceled by opponent).

    *Rebel Ceremony
    Used or Lost Interrupt-Dest.6
    LORE: After destroying the Death Star, the Rebel Alliance held one of the biggest award ceremonies in their history. It included remembering all those who had given the supreme sacrifice.
    USED: If you just successfully destroyed a Death Star, retrieve X Force, where X= amount of Force opponent must lose. (Immune to Sense.) LOST: Use 2 Force to search your Lost Pile and take any one Rebel into your hand (4 Force if (*)).

    CPI:
    *Opening Ceremony
    Effect-Dest.4
    LORE: "...I would like you to be my guest at a ceremony that will make this battle station operational."
    Lose 2 Force to deploy on Alderaan. If "blown away" before any other systems, opponent loses 6 Force (8 if Tarkin or Leia on Death Star; 12 if both). All opponent's Alderaanians add one battle destiny for remainder of game. (Commence returns to your hand.)

    Effective Demonstration
    Immediate Effect-Dest.3
    LORE: "Dantooine is too remote to make an effective demonstration, but don't worry. We'll deal with your Rebel friends soon enough."
    Use 2 Force to deploy on any planet system just "blown away" (except a Rebel Base system). Opponent loses 4 Force for each copy of this Effect on table. Opponent may cancel this Force loss for remainder of game by voluntarily revealing his system for Hidden Base or by deploying a Rebel Base system.

    *A Day Long Remembered
    Immediate Effect-Dest.6
    LORE: "This will be a day long remembered. It has seen the end of Kenobi. It will soon see the end of the Rebellion."
    If you just destroyed a Rebel Base, deploy on your side of table. For remainder of game, opponent's Rebels battle at half power (round down). Also, you may retrieve 2 Force for each battle you win involving a Rebel. (Immune to Control).

    Dark Lando:
    *Instrument Of The Dark Lord
    Effect-Dest.6
    LORE: Lando's past made him the perfect tool with which to carry out Vader's plans.
    Use 2 Force to deploy on your Lando on Cloud City. Cannot be replaced. When present on Cloud City with Vader and a bounty hunter, you may use 3 Force to immediately capture Han, Chewie, or Leia (free if bounty hunter is Boba Fett). Effect cancelled if Dark Deal cancelled.

    *This Deal Is Getting Worse All The Time
    Immediate Effect-Dest.5
    LORE: "Lord Vader, what about Leia and the Wookie?" "They must never again leave this city." "That was never a condition of our agreement, nor was giving Han to this bounty hunter!"
    Use 3 Force (free if your Lando on Cloud City) to deploy on table if you just Force drained using Dark Deal. You ma

    I've got an idea for some new Starting Interrupts. The Dark one would be "Insidious Smirk," and it would have a picture of Palpy's smile just after the Queen leaves his office. Light would be "I Need Your Help," and would have a picture of Gungans marching off to battle.

    Dark lore: No one was aware of Palpatine's agenda until it was too late.

    Light lore: During the Battle of Naboo, Boss Nass' Gungans did what was necessary to make sure the Queen's plan could succeed.

    Game text (same on both sides):
    USED: Subtract 1 from an opponent's weapon destiny draw.
    STARTING: Deploy up to two Effects, if each of them deploys free and is always immune to Alter.

    I thought that the Light Effect would be especially useful, as you could use it to get A New Secret Base and another Effect like Squadron Assignments or something, rather than just using The Signal to get it.

    Here are two Episode 2 dream cards I just came up with:

    Jango Fett and Mace Windu With Lightsaber Scroll down to the bottom to see them. There are some minor spoilers, but there's nothing you can't determine by watching the trailers.

    The set icon is a shrunk clonetrooper helmet, which I took from the Clone War trailer. It doesn't look that great, but it's the best I could do.

    Whaddaya think?

    Question about v-cards with regards to your dream cards. I love the ls politics you had at the top, any way of adding politics to ls characters that make sense in v cards? It seems to me that the ls needs more senators and I don't know if you can do anything about that.

    Excellent cards bib.

    Here's one which you should create:

    *Yoda with Lightsaber.
    Lore: "Judge me by my size do you?" Leader of the Jedi Council. Has the smallest lightsaber in history.

    Power: 5 Ability: 7 Jedi Master.

    Deploys -2 to Geonosis. Permanent weapon is Yoda's lighsaber (may target a character, creature or vehicle present: draw 2 destiny, add one to each destiny if targeting Dooku: target hit and forfeit = 0 if destinies > than defense value). Immune to attrition.
