LMAO!! That X-Wing trolley rocks!!! [face_laugh]

Stuey as pilot is a logical choice, seeing as he is quite clearly insane. :p

@ Rambles- I can arrange the meet, but i aint building the thing as well meester!!! :p

If your all serious about entering, i will apply for the pilot license though. :)

    Let me know. :p

Main obstacle: how do you get a customised shopping trolley into Central London? :p

Not as hard as it sounds.

It'll have to be done in 3 stages though.

Person/People to build the wing sections of the plane. They'll be easy enough to bring along to the meet......maybe.

Another person to aquire a shopping trolley from a shop already in London and bring it along to the meet.

Last stage obviously , would be to attatch the wing sections to the trolley once all the parts are in Hyde park. :p

Of course, there may be other options. LOL

If we make the x-wing trolley then basically all we need to do is make 4 wings and a nose out of paper mache and chicken wire and attach them to a shopping trolley. Then we get some floats of some kind and attach them on to the trolley too.

Its not really expected to fly so it doesnt matter how heavy it is as long as it floats. We just need to push it fast (15mph would get it about 3 metres)

Hmmmmmmmmm, how about swapping the trolley for something a bit more lightweight?

We have the time to design it before any application is made for the license. :p

I'm so bored (and sad) that I felt like working out how fast we need to go.

for every metre that we want to go we need to increase the speed by 4mph

however when we reach 88mph the flux capacitor will kick in and we will be propelled back to 1985

edit - weight doesnt matter as its highly unlikely the wings would do anything

How about converting a bicycle? We could get a lot more speed then as well...?

stuey would be likely to fall off the bike before he even got near the ramp if we start adding a shedload of stuff to it. Now as funny as that would be to watch, i'd prefer seeing him fly off the edge into some freezing water.

You'd probably have to pay the Congestion Charge for a Go-Kart.
