"Red Tails" The Next George Lucas Production

Does anyone think Lucas should have directed it, considering how hard he worked to get it off the ground? To get the film into production but hand it off to someone else, it's disappointing to me.

 

Nah...I think he's more comfortable as a producer/story creator; he's an editor by education to begin with and I think that crosses over to the role of a producer quite abit.

 

I guess I just wanted to see him actually direct some stuff besides star wars

Indeed there is THX and American Grafitti but I was hoping GL would at least make something non star wars related after ROTS. His list of directed films is quite small.

I don't think he would ever release his experimental films or whatever it is he wanted to do in his free time.

 

Well...he certainly has the time to do so now, doesn't he
