Yet they've been planning it since summer... [face_thinking]

Watch episode III. That's all the Clone Wars conclusion we'll ever need

Better yet, don't do that and just read the novelization ;)

Obviously this was totally worth the hype and anticipation.

As one of the few EU fans who never tires of the classic era (guess why!), I'm not too bothered by that conceptually. I have little interest in this series though -- not because it's out of continuity (I loved the Infinities series, and Tales of course) but because... I dunno. I'll see if previews change my mind.

I do agree with Coop that the art looks very high quality, though.

Way more interested over this than over any of the Infinities series. Will give a try.

I'm definitely interested, but I might just read the first couple issues digitally and then wait for a trade. It sounds like the kind of thing that would make a nice shiny hardcover.

Well, this can't be the only thing the panel talked about.... Anyone hear anything about anything else they discussed from around the web?

...this would have been interesting if it weren't hyped as a "huge" announcement, which, in the current climate, sort of implied actual information about plans for the future of the franchise and Dark Horse's part in it, not a limited series outside of continuity.

Yeah, that's why I was fully prepared for this to just be an April Fools Day joke in the making. Which it almost seems to be.

I love the Classic era myself. I recall being in the minority in being excited for Wood's Star Wars series.

Well that could be interesting...but to be honest, considering the way the announcement was "announced", I was expecting more. Maybe I'm just too spoiled and hard to satisfy :p

Always good to hear more about my favorite comic :D

I don't care what anyone says, the ANH infinities is some of the most fun you can have reading a comic.

So this would be the story before all the edits? The original draft? You know, writers edit things because the original is almost always utter crap.

    Oh dear.

Yup, but I'm hoping that that will be the concluding arc for the current gang. I like the ensemble a lot but with Vader now on their trail, it can't end well and they can't keep eluding him.

Well as much as I like the characters, I guess their story has to end eventually, so you have a good point. But that doesn't mean we can't get more Dark Times with new characters :D

Oh definitely, I just don't want another, but arguably far stronger in character terms, Invasion!

Well, let's hope so but nothing's guaranteed where comics are concerned.

True, but I have faith in DH. Fans wanted CE III, and eventually they got it. I would be surprised if Invasion wasn't finished
