Wonderful story! I love Luke, Leia, and Han. ANH did such a great job of showing how the three of them bonded, and your story is very realistic. I can just picture them getting ready for the ceremony. I loved how you combined humor and touching moments. Really, really wonderful.

There is a lot of skill in this short story. There's melancholy in Leia's PoV but it's still tainted with humour, there's humour in Luke's and Han's but you made Han do some pretty mature philosophizing as well. And darla is right. This has a lot of potential for being a series. You could write Chewie's PoV and Threepio's, R2's, Wedge's ad infinitum.

Oooh, you caught the gilded one comment! I'm thrilled...I wanted to find a new one...what with all the golden rod comments from the original trilogy and all that!

I'm happy you enjoyed the different points of view and although I probably can't do some of those p.o.v's like Wedge etc..I now feel more confident to perhaps do a few stories like this...perhaps from other scenes. *gets excited* Of course...after my exams.

Loved it Pash, well done

I thought the writing for Han and Luke was spot on, and I really liked the way it was structured, it gave a great sense of occasion and was very fresh.

The Leia part was very well written, very delicate and sensitive.

Overall you've managed to capture the sense of loss, excitment and humour in one story, which is pretty tricky but it has been really well executed.
Once again well done on a great job!
