why is it so hard to grab the last list peoples ?

& yes I reckon getting screen printing on the shirts is a great idea for the relay...we need to get registered first & pay the deposit. We ned a team captain first. I'm happy to do it again if you like but if someone else wants to put up their hand that'd be fine also.

ummm, grave yard shift....

even allowing for some to go over to the 501st team, it looks like it's going to be easy to fill the minimum requirements for a team. & with us being able to start fund raising already, we should be able to do even better than the great work we've done in previous years.

 

Spoke to Will from the Cancer Council today re: the date for next years relay...

I mentioned to him that I had some members that wanted to know because there's a convention(Brisnova) in the early April & he said " well, we'll have hold in on another wekend that that's not on- it wouldn't be the same if you guys couldn't be there"



I say..

You'd make the date around whether we could attend?

We really love having you guys there & if you can't make it the first weekend in April, we won't consider that date then... It'll likely be the last weekend in March. That shouldn't clash with Brisnova.

We've really developed a great relationship with the Cancer Council as also evidenced by the ease of getting use of their public liability insurance despite not actually being registered as a fund raiser for them at the moment.

I'm really stoked that we have such a good working relationship with them & they are so happy & proud of the work we do for them that they would hold the Relay on a weekend we could attend.

The other news I have to report is that next years relay will be held at the "other" oval in Victor. Apparently the locals have complained about the noise. Apparently it's not really about the teams noise but the locals who wander down & caues trouble from the local hotel & Will says it'll be better anyway moving as this will hopefully stop all that ! I'm reliably informed that the ladies toilet facilities there are in excellent order(I did ask for you ladies) & that it'll be a good move.

I am VERY excited about being involved in the relay again, It's such a fantastic event.
That's about all I have to report at the moment
