Even simpler - have all 3 do it... what's the problem with it ?

I'm waiting for Jake's response... will someone please SMS him if it hasn't already been done to let him know what's going on here.. If we wait for him to eventually log in it may be too late.

 

Its not like anything needs to be decided tonight guys. Let the interested parties discuss it amongst themselves and come to some agreement.

 

Yes i agree it shouldnt be a popularity contest However it seems to be the best solution atm regading this issue.


I am sure we can all work together to make R4L09 a big sucesss regardless of who is captain IMHO after all its not a team of one but many and thats what makes it a great event.

ok, after some serious discussions tonight all parties have put their sabers (ha ! I made a pun ) Sorry, down and come to the negotiating table.

what we've decided if everyone is onboard with this is that Sabre wants to step up & take on some responsibility & I'd still like to be involved in the relay and all and we've come with a compromise that hopefully everyone else is happy too. Addie, Sabre & myself are happy with it

I'll get the ball rolling & register us as soon as possible, I'll be captain til Sabre turns 18 & then we'll be co- captains. Sabre's going to be in charge of camp management, and by that I'm sure he has his ideas on it, but I'm thinking it'd be great if we do a great camp site next year !! We've seen the standard, it's pretty high. Sabre can design, build, cut, paste us a really kick a%$#e camp site for next year, with the help of Addie & he will also be quiz master.

Is everyone down with that ? That way everyone who put up their hand gets a job and we can concentrate on a brilliant R4L 09

is this the team list then? I know there will be some "tweaking" to it however.I'll go ahead & get us registered tomorrow so we can get the process started & I'll pay the $100 upfront & if the members could please pay back Evil Rex (we'll have bank details for ya soon ) that would be great. That way we can be fully fledged registered for this weeks Centro appearance

 

yeah, could do that I suppose, I was only going to register the minimum til we know how many will be the final SAFF number & who will be 501st, but yeah could do the full $140

we can add extra team members later though. Perhaps if the ones who are DEFINATELY team SAFF pay & the possible 501st hang off til it's known if they have a team ?

 

I doubt the 501st will get it up & going for the next one.
I think the main focus for us/them at the moment is the new squad formation.
I really don't think that there are people from the 501st who aren't either on SAFF or lurk here. There are a few but I don't think they'd get involved with R4L anyway. The newer additions of Trooper6082 & Niko from the 501st are more than welcome to join in here as Team SAFF... they both have young families which quite a few of SAFFers also have, so they would fit in fine.
My suggestion is -
Have the official team SAFF that will do the walking on the weekend.
The remainder who haven't signed up but still want to be an active part will still play a vital role in helping raise funds to boost our total amount raised past anything we have previously achieved. One concentrated effort from the ENTIRE SAFF - unified.
We all still head down for the weekend to add atmosphere & support for our team.

Sound plan ?

 

I was going to start a thread in the TAG but I see your point about not many TAG members not being in SAFF.
