This year's Relay for Life is coming up. It will be held on June 28th. At Fullerton High School.

This is a Saturday event that lasts for 24hours. it will go from 10am on Sat until 10am Sun.

This is a very worth while event, and it is a GREAT way for us to publicity in the community. This will fulfill our wish of helping out charities and also help us get our name out there and help increase membership.

I would like to get your support for forming a team. This is a 24hr walk/run event. I plan on walking. The team must have one member on the track at all times, but we rotate through. You can walk as many laps as you want it doesn't matter. We will be able to set up a tent while we are there. Display our lightsaber props and also go in costume for those of us that have them. I will be asking if we can get some help from some 501st members as well so we have some tropers present.

I will have all the info for this at the next meeting. Please post here or on our other boards as a sign up for the team.

Again this is a great cause that we can help out with.

This sounds great! I could also use the exercise too...
Maybe I could put in 30 minutes or more, as walking is OK.

Ok here is some more info:

Teams are made up of 10 members. We can have more than that actually present, but 10 is usually the number for those that are walking.

Campsite: There are campsite set up for each team. Each team is encoraged to decorate their campsite and show team spirit. I think this is the best part, because I think we could decorate it up pretty good if you know what I mean.

The registration fee is a total of 150.00, so we wil be taking contributions to go towards the registration fee on Sunday.

I will have the welcome packet info from ACS with me for futher discussion.
