If you missed the deadline, still get everything banked by the end of the week and please let me know. We just need to keep all the late receipts separate.

Don't forget to bring your banking receipts and collection boxes if you have them on Saturday.

Here's the latest update. There's still some more fundraising on the day with the raffle, an auction of JTN's standee and magnetic covers, and also probably a cheque from JTN's union which will find its way in to our total.

But just look at it. This is a magnificent effort. When I first said I'd be interested in doing this a few months ago, I was thinking, "How the hell am I going to raise $100?". I'm sure a few of you thought the same. Then when I started organising things, I thought "How the hell are we going to raise $1400?" as a team. As the weeks went on, and everyone started getting into gear, I thought "Hey, we might actually make it", and then a little later, "We might end up with $2000 - that'd be awesome". Never in my wildest dreams did I think we'd raise close to $3000 and still counting.

I just want to thank everyone in the team for all their hard work. This has gone way beyond just the team members though. So thank you to all your families, friends, work mates, and bosses. And thanks to all of the SAFF family who chipped in and will continue to do so to make this weekend one to remember.

We all should be very proud of what we've accomplished. The money we've raised is going to make a difference in the search for a cancer cure and to the support of all who are still battling this disease. Remember this when you're walking around the oval carrying the baton.

New house rule : No walking unless you're wearing something Star Wars. Costume, SAFF shirt, T-Shirt, pin, earings, or carrying a saber. Anything you like.

As per the roster I mailed out, we'll do the first half hour block as a group in costume, and after that walk as you please

Then for the last half hour, 8:30-9:00 we can also do the group walk, wearing your SAFF shirts if you have them.

PS - You can now see the roster here. The numbers just indicate the number of sessions each person will have done.

I was thinking of compiling a CD of Star Wars comedy songs, The Cantina song and the songs from Jabba's pallace.
Does anyone have a CD player they could bring along?

 

Hay !! I was thinking the same thing !! although i have actual SW songs and Parodies . . .

 

That's what i meant. I've got the Cantna song, Lapti Nek, Jedi Rocks and a couple of other parodies.

I also have one that JTN might like. It's all about Boba Fett.
