Unfortunately my dad is working that weekend, and my mum wont take me herself, so if anyone can offer a lift for me? It would be greatly appreciated.

I spoke to Christine at the Cancer Council today. She was very keen to get us involved. Well obviously she's keen for everyone to get involved, but I just said that to make us feel special
The sooner I get the registration in, the sooner I can get everyone all the gear they need to take donations.
Now, as things stand at the moment, we have a confirmed team of 12
We can register now, which will require an upfront registration fee of $120. I can front that and collect everyone's $10 registration fee later.
We can still add extras to the team later on, up to a maximum of 15, so people still unsure have got time to think about it. But basically now that we've got the minimum amount so we can register.
Once I get the kit from the organisers, you'll all have registration forms to fill out with your details and T-shirt sizes
Also could I get everyone to send me a PM with contact details (Net name, name, phone, email and address). That'll make sure I can keep in touch with everyone and also figure out the best way to get paper work around to people.

Still talking it over with my parents, should have an answer by weeks end.
I should be able to come it's just a matter of time.
My parents dont work on weekends and with such notice should be able to not make plans it's just i need to know what time sothat i can tell them when i need to be there by.
Also i am at a pause in my search for a costume. no shops close to me have any star wars costumes. I was wondering if anyone has a spare that can be either lent, sold or given away that i could take a swing at? Any at all. too big is ok because i can get the mother to do some alterations. Anyone? Willing to pay a little bit of money but without a job cannot be too much.
Oh, that reminds me, I don't have a cossie of my own yet...

I have my husbands Anakin, found the leathers. Might be a tad large int he pants (get yourself some brown pants) but the tunic can be crossed over.....

Just so everyone knows, I'm starting to get excited about this already!
I haven't got exact times DV, but I imagine it will start early afternoon on the Saturday, which means we would need to be there to set up around midday. Will know more once our registration goes through.
Its OK if you can't make the entire event. I'll need a few die-hards for the entire time but if you can't make it till later that's cool.
That weekend is also the end of daylight savings. I don't know if that means less walking or not.
Costumes won't be mandatory, but I think we'll have to establish a few house rules - i.e. no one allowed on the track without some article of Star Wars merchandise However it would be great to do at least 1/2 to 1 hour in the relay with costumes en masse.

Registration for the team, and payment for the 12 team members, so far, has been sent off.
