TC looked to Tofer and remarked,

"Actually my EMP launcher is modified to be of a smaller area, and is much more precise. I need it that way as, if a blast were to land too close to me from a regular EMP launcher, I would be rendered almost completely ineffective." TC's right hand was pointing at the cybernetic eye. TC figured that the entire mission sounded good, but knew that there was a significant difference between words and actions. It would be helpful of Aero to plant charges prior to their departure, and if TC had his jetpack he, personally, would find the mission easier. Turning TC faces general Lorcan.

"Sir, I believe the plan has been set, especially if I'm allowed the jetpack and my helm." TC was confident that they would do well.

Lorcan sat and listened to all the ideas the commando's were tossing out. There were few things that could bring a group together. A brainstorm was one of them. When he was confident that all the ideas were on the table, Lorcan looked at the holo-table.

"You all have fantastic ideas," he said turing to them, "I appreciate your input. TC, I will allow you to keep your helmet, but I can't allow the jet pack. That would send a nice little signal to the Seps that we cannot afford. The cliff is only about fifty meters, so you should be able to repel down just fine. I would suggest that we all come in from the plateau, above the compound. We can repel down the cliff side, using the shadows and crags for better cover. Also, so I don't stick out like a sore thumb at night, I will be wearing at least partial Mark III armor. Aero, due to the nature of your mission, of which I'm not going to discuss, I agree that you can provide us the best intel. You'll be going in about a half day before us. Hopefully that will be enough time for you to reach your objective. Placing a few distractions along the way would probably help as well."

Lorcan looked to each of the commandos. So young, yet so experienced in warfare. It was almost a shame.

"As far as EMP weapons are concerned," he continued, "the Mark III is EMP resistant, so we have little to worry about there. The one bad thing is that, according to Tar and Res, there is no communication with any Republic contact once you get into that underground research facility. Which means that if Aero is to give us any type of layout, he would have to be in the main part of the freight building, or some place where he could get a signal out. I'm not a fan of going in blind, but sometimes you can't avoid it."

He looked back at the topo that was still on the holo-table.

"All right then. So here is the plan: Aero will be going in about a half day ahead of us. We will be coming in on the south part of the plateau, and repelling down. TC will take up a sniper position on the cliff face and cover us. Tofer can send up a couple aerial drones for high altitude recon while we make our way through the boulders that surround the area. With the traffic coming in and out of the warehouse, we should be able to find adequate cover. Once we get to the building, Blaster will find the key to a door, or make a nice little door for us. At that point, I want TC to get to our location as fast as he can. If we can time things correctly, we should be heading into the lab by the time Aero is done with his mission. At which point we can all link up and get a nice layout of the facility."

He looked back to the commandos.

"As we are all aware, there is a lot riding on this mission. I can't begin to fathom the thought of being wiped out, along with all my fellow Jedi, before we were even born. I can assure you, however, that I will do everything in my power to ensure that it does not happen."

He walked to the other side of the table and sat down. He pressed a button and the comm opened.

    "Armory Seargent?"

    "Yes, General?"

"I'm sending a few of my men down. See to it that they get any kit they request and you have."

    "Sir?"

    "It's for a special op."

    "Yes, sir. Anything they want."

    Lorcan closed the comm.

"Well, that pretty much does it for our briefing. If there are no questions, your armor is over there," he said pointing to the corner of the room, "and you are free to ket what you wish from the armory. It will be a couple more days before we reach our DZ. So feel free to have a little R&R. I will probably keep in contact with you, but incase I am busy attending to other things, we will meet in landing area four-one-seven, where our Nu-class shuttle will be waiting for us. Dismissed."

TC frowned slightly as he was told that he couldn't use his jetpack, but kept his disappointment to himself. With a small bit of disdain TC picked up his armour, and proceeded back to the private quarters. After putting away his armour TC grabs his rifle and proceeds to the shooting range, deciding that it was best that he ensured that his sniping skills weren't degraded.

Tofer listened as the battle plan was laid out. It seemed too easy and too simple. But it was the best they had, and would have to go with it. But Tofer would be triple cautious on this mission, it was too important to miss something small, yet critical.

"Well boys, unless we get better intel, this is probably our best shot. We may need to plan on the fly though as the situation on the ground changes. Looks like we may be a man down if no one can locate Shatter. It's bad luck to go in with three." Blaster added.

"Yeah, we're is that di'kut. He's missed the entire briefing! I'm not sure if we are going to be able to count on him to be there, but if he manages to show up, he can provide sniping cover with TC, and then they can move to our position together as a team. Should make it that much safer for TC to reach our position. But you're right it is bad luck to go in with a 3-man squad. Hopefully, General Mantish being with us will make up for it."

Tofer went back to looking at the Mark III armor. So this stuff is also EMP resistant, he thought to himself. They must have done quite a few upgrades since I got my Mark III armor. It really will be 'mandokar'.

As he listened, he was already mentally preparing his shopping list. Next to trashing clankers, it was his favorite thing in the galaxy. He also had new gear to modify, a truly win-win situation.

"Ib'tuur jatne tuur ash'ad kyr'amur," he said to no one in particular. It would indeed be a good day for someone else to die!

The Luminence dropped out of hyperspace. Lorcan was in his quarters when he felt the slight shift. He grabbed a small ruck sack and tossed a couple items into it. He slung it over his shoulder and made his was down to the hangar bays. When he arrived the area was fairly devoid of activity. He walked to his shuttle and looked inside. All the necessary gear had been stowed, but the commandos weren't around.

Lorcan stood by the Nu-class ship, arms crossed. He hadn't heard from his troops in about four days, but that was probably a good thing. That usually meant they were getting a little R & R. He looked at the chrono on his wrist. He brought his gauntlet up and pressed the comm.

"Theta Squad and Aero, this is General Mantish. Report to landing area four-one-seven. It's time to get this show on the road."

Lorcan waited for the commandos to arrive.

TC had been sleeping at this point, well accustomed to the cookie cutter beds that suited them, all built for proper comfort of a clone. TC snapped awake as he heard the general's summons. With nothing more than a lazy thought TC got up and donned his new armour, placing his own helm on his head to top it off. Quickly equipping himself with his weapons and clips, TC makes his way to the hangar.

Blaster finished packing his gear, running through the list of things he need for the mission.

    1 snake cam
1 bandolier with 4 EMP grenades
1 bandolier with 2 thermal detonators and 2 stun grenades
    1 satchel charge
    2 magnetic shaped antitank mines
4 blocks of detonite with fuses and Blaster's custom detonators
1 3D holoemitter/recorder to replace parts from right gauntlet.
1 bracer computer to replace parts from right gauntlet. (transferring my DAU to make it more accessible)
    1 aerial recon drone
    1 DC-15s hand blaster
1 DC-17m Interchangeable Weapon System with 10 clips of ammunition

He was hoping this would be enough explosives to get them out of trouble. Hearing the communication from General Mantish, he grabbed his pack, and headed out. Looking over his shoulder, he said, "Come on Tofer, you don't want to keep the 'jetii' waiting! The poor man had a full head of hair until he heard you were assigned to him!!!"

    IC: Tofer

General Mantish finished the briefing and then granted them full access to the armory. Tofer got up and retrieved his armor and carried it back to his quarters. He spent the next several hours retrofitting his heavy repeater rifle attachment to the new Mark III blackplate.

With his new Mark III armor outfitted with his heavy repeater, Tofer decided it was time to check out the armory. After a leisurley stroll aroudn the ship, he finally reached his destination. He noticed that there wasn't alot explosive materials and equipment left. Blaster must have kriffing near cleaned this place out, Tofer thought to himself.

Tofer went about examining the supply and equipment that had been provided to them. As he was looking, he realized that he really didn't need that much. He grabbed as much ammo as would be possible to carry into the field, and a little more. He then also grabbed some EMP grenades, frag grenades and a couple thermal detonators, just in case. He then also grabbed two of the aerial drones to use for reccee during the mission. He took all this kit back to his barracks and got it all loaded and ready to move out when the time comes.

Tofer then decided that it might be a good idea to get his gauntlet vibro-blades sharpened, so he took them down to the quartermaster, for upgrade and repair. It didn't take very long, as Tofer kept his gear in tip top shape to begin with, but it never hurts to have a specialist fine tune your gear. While he waited he programmed the aerial drones to respond to his gauntlet control panel, and then he synced both drones to his gauntlets once he got them back.

Fairly certain, that he had gotten the needed upgrades for his kit, he decided it would be good to put it through a test run. He decided that if he could make if from bow of the ship to the thrusters without any of the meat cans spotting him, he would be set for the mission...

Three hours later, he was standing in the thruster room, having completed his 'mission' successfully. He had found a few more kinks that needed to be worked out with this new armor, as was the case with all new armor they had ever received.

Tofer spent the next few days tinkering with the armor with the quartermaster on board the ship. Tofer didn't really believe in R&R, all it really did was make you slothful and weak.

Tofer was with Blaster when he felt the ship shift from lightspeed back to the sub-light engines. Shortly thereafter, his comm beeped followed by Blasters, and the message echoed each other.

"Theta Squad and Aero, this is General Mantish. Report to landing area four-one-seven. It's time to get this show on the road."

"Come on Tofer, you don't want to keep the 'jetii' waiting! The poor man had a full head of hair until he heard you were assigned to him!!!"

"You sure you didn't accidentally burn the hair off with those explosives of yours, ner vod?'" Tofer responded while heading out the door to the hanger bay ahead of Blaster. "Now who better hurry up? And make sure you don't trip and fall on that kit of yours. You could blow a whole through the hull with all that shabla explosives.

Chuckling at Tofer, Blaster said "No, if the General had gotten too close to one of my toys he would have already become one with the Force and you would be cleaning him off your armor for months to come. Just be careful you don't stand too close on the shuttle. I thought I would take up juggling."

"TC-1140 reporting for duty sir." TC states as he arrives in the hangar, finding himself the first one there, other than Master Lorcan. TC had ensured he had everything he needed, from grenades to blasters, he was sure that he was ready to take on almost anything, though he still felt he'd be more comfortable with his jetpack.

Mark the file 'shebs' and I will extract it on our way in. Good luck vod and trash some clankers for us. But don't kill too many or Tofer will whine about it!"
