Amph REM Splitting up!

    Yes, they were, unfortunately. Like many, though, I'd have preferred them to hang it up with Automatic for the People. Never cared for Monster, most of what came after seemed like someone else ripping off their classic stuff.

    Still, though, quite possibly the most influential rock band of their era, and one of my favorites. Time to listen to So. Central Rain and Sitting Still, my two favorite songs of theirs.

    i beg to differ as monster was done by their tribute/cover band. it was way too mainstream to be a true rem album.

    Yeah, I thought they broke up back in 1997. Besides, they haven't done anything of
    worth since their SCARY MONSTERS album.
